That's what gets me is Brock has been playing for pennies coming back from a destroyed throwing elbow and everything and he's focused on winning. He didn't make mistakes in the Super Bowl. He made the heroic plays to get us there and yet we have guys trying to cash in on this very team when they were not at their best in the biggest moments before Brock can get his piece.

The market has decided, BA needs to man up and sign the offer.

Winning and competing for championships comes second fiddle when it comes to the almighty dollar in the modern nfl

Thing is, if the competition aspect becomes diminished in the hearts and minds of fans, then so will the dollar aspect eventually.
Sounds more and more like BA is a dumbass.
Can we agree that this whole "wait until late August" BS is a stupid strategy and is just screwing us over every time? There's a reason we're the only team that does this garbage. Bosa even admitted last year that the hold-out had a negative impact on his play. And it was very noticeable for nearly half the season.

We have more than enough data at this point to know that this is officially the worst front office strategy. Purdy better be extended in April at the latest.

How many times must it be posted that BA was the hold up. The FO tried to get it done early. BA wanted to wait for the market to go stupid to try to increase his leverage (which was close to nill).

He's under the 5thb year option. He either ends hold-in and shows up by week 6 or this season doesn't count and we do this all over again next year (per the collective bargaining agreement. Right???)

Week 11. Once again, 6 is the number of regular season games he must Play, not Miss, to accrue the season.

THAT'S all he's worth... he NO superstar... he's just becoming a STAR in fact.. he sholdn't be making more than 25 a years.. WHY ??

WE saw useless he was in the Super Bowl.. Shanny did not even use him.. so if our HC isn't gonna be aware that YUCK is playing, then why pay the guy more that 25?

He was wide open on 2 plays but the ball didn't get thrown to him. The two biggest plays of the game. The 3rd and 4 with under 2 minutes to play in the game that would have likely sealed the game for the Niners. But Brock went to Jennings instead and the ball got tipped. Aiyuk was open by like 7-8 yards. Then there was the play in OT where he was open in the endzone but Jones blew up the blame and Brock targetted Jennings again but due to the pressure it was not completed. And even with that he did have 49 yards.

the play was designed to go to 15, it was designed all the way to go to 15... YUCK would have been the last choice and would have gotten the ball had SHANNY advised a TE, or a FB to help a young OL to block 95.. but it was not B-ROCK STEADY PURDY's fault he had to get rid of the ball ASAP..

also, why even throw the ball when you have 2 downs to get a simple 4 yards with the best RB in the NFL... the same is the same exact STUPID call w/the Falcons and how Ryans got sacked in that Super Bowl.. RUN THE BALL.. go ask PETE CARROLL..

Does anyone remember what happened when the Falcons handed the ball to Freeman and Coleman in that 2nd half??? I know they didn't have the number of attempts some of you wanted but when they did run the ball in the 2nd half, does anyone remember the outcome of those runs??? Just curious.
I think he will string out time in between now and the opener and then sign the Niner contract. If the Steeelers deal is worth signing, he would have done it already. With needed time to acclimating to a new offense and players, it just doesn't make sense to wait.

He can't sign a contract while he's under contract with us. We have to trade him for him to do that. And yes, talking heads are now saying since he can't be ready at the start of the season now, the compensation will need to be adjusted down. Odds of a trade are going down.
There obviously wasn't near as much interest in Aiyuk as he thought there would be. Nobody thinks he's worth a first round pick. Think about that. He's still young and was a 2nd team pro bowler last year. Still teams don't think he's worth a 1st round pick if they have to pay him $30 million.
"Hey Brandon, do you want to play on a team with an elite roster and All Pro QB or do you want to play for the most money possible?"

BA: "yes"
This is getting tiring. I still want him here...The team is better with him on it, but it just gets annoying the longer it drags out.

Not only that but we don't have a clear trade in place that will make us better right now.
