Yeah, because jimmy rarely attempted throws his way. Kyle had to be careful with play calling to mitigate jimmys chance of making a mistake.

brock is accurate and a play maker. Brock will give the guys a chance to "'make a play" and throw them a catchable ball - Jimmy was terrible at that.

i doubt anything really materially changed with Aiyuk besides the quality of qb play here.

There's definitely a synergy between the two.

At least once, in an interview, Aiyuk credited some of his success to Brock's playmaking and big play manufacturing.

He said something like "plays were we would usually never get the ball thrown to us, happens now".

Yes! The interview w/Armstead. Here's the youtube vid, comment starts at 38:05 (timestamp won't show up because the video is link blocked).

There's another excerpt, I'm not sure it's from the same interview, but he discusses the backshoulder TD vs the Steelers and how he now has a touchdown because Brock made it happen, or something to that effect.

Aiyuk knows what's up.

K
It's time to sign now. They increased the offer and the guarantee. If we are to believe the reports.

That's why I think he may not put up the numbers that he has here on another team. And BA knows that.

Aiyuk would for sure have better numbers if he was on a team with less talent and passes more (literally everyone passes more than we do, per last season).

a lot of the time that comes at a cost of team success - it's usually a give and a take, unless you have a premier qb.

it also doesn't help that we rarely play from behind and/or are blowing a team out.

it's all a give and a take - fortunately last season everyone was extremely efficient and made a lot of each opportunity. That's why we had so many people with 1k+ yards and Aiyuk had the most YPC
I'm curious what the holdup for the fourth year is. I feel like it was as simple as inflating APY to appease ego - that would be resolved quickly.

I was hoping it would be signed by now but oh well.

I think getting BA back is going to be a big boost for the team since they've been so injured and he's a good challenge for the defense.
