You must be a kid. Marino was no joke. That offense was scary.

To quote Keena Turner from America's Game 1984, once a QB gets hit enough I don't care who he is, he becomes ordinary.

Mahomes is better than Dan Marino now?

No he's not. My point is that they are dangerous in very different ways. Marino was elusive within the pocket. Mahomes is in his element outside the pocket when the play starts to breakdown.

I feel incredibly confident going into this game .

I feel the same, not only from an X's and O's standpoint but just a feeling in general. Between Kittle finally getting the recognition of being the best TE to John Lynch winning EOTY by football writers to Shanahan now getting the hype as one of the best play callers in the league to the Katie Sowers commercial playing over and over, just feels like it's our Year!

Marino may not have been as mobile but his arm talent and quick release were as good as any in history. It's amazing that the Dolphins being in a state with good weather and low taxes could never consistently surround him with the talent needed to get back to the SB. They either had a good offense and no defense of the other way around.

People sometimes use the 'how many SBs did he win' when talking about all time greats but Marino was a no doubt HOF player.
George "The Animal" Kittle is going to show the whole world who the best te in football is on Feb. 2nd. I beleive he is going to go off for 150+ yards and 2 td's. He will also maul every de, lb and safety all the way to a superbowl victory.

I didn't see your comment until now, yours is reasonable and I agree. The one I replied to is implying that Mahomes is superior to Marino which is a joke. Mahomes will literally have to have the game of his life to beat this defense. Even then our offense can still outscore them. I just don't see how we lose this game, aside from being -2 or worse in the turnover battle.
So can we beat these guys or not? Everybody in the whole media is saying Chiefs, Chiefs, Chiefs. And Mahomes, Mahomes, Mahomes. I like our team a lot. But I'm a bit worried too. Should we be? I go over to Seahawks.net and they say "congratulations on being the best in the NFC." "But prepare for a loss."

What do you guys think? Everybody is picking against us. Media, sports media talk shows, message boards, other teams fan forums. I think like 99% of the world I see guarantees us a loss.

Don't know how you guys feel confident. I think it's going to be a barn burner, like the NO game. But I think we can match them punch for punch.

Mahomes will never be the QB Marino was.

In theory; The NFL is rigged and our narrative is that JG will be the next TB12...Montana Jr. The league as a whole is better when the Niners are on top!

This^

Another reason...Tom Brady was the last QB to win the Superbowl the same year he won his first playoff game, Jimmy G can be the next

Montana also accomplished that.
The chefs have nothing to watch on film about the niners offense unless they want to see 89 running plays the last 2 weeks. I bet Jimmy G. throws for 400 yards and I see us putting 45+ on these chumps.

LOVE IT!

I listen to a lot of sports radio and I wouldn't say everybody is picking KC. What I hear is about even with a slight edge to people picking KC. It doesn't make any difference anyway. It's not an election.

This is where I'm at. I think it'll be a tough game. I hope I'm wrong and the 49ers control the game from start to finish.
