Lol, absolutely
This whole notion of the 'chiefs deserve to win because of Reid and the 50 year drought' is nonsense. Nobody deserves anything. If chiefs earn the win then they earned it but to say they deserve it is ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm still pinching myself that it's a reality that our 49ers are back in the super bowl. I think a part of the Chiefs fans being stupid about the matchups is the fact that even they didn't think they'd be in the super bowl. I know they were in the playoffs last year, but it's been over 50+ years that they have been in the superbowl too, I think. I think even they didn't think they'd be in the Super bowl this year.

I just watched the KC vs 49ers pre-season game this year, and without Ford and Bosa, KC's offense literally went through our defense like a hot knife through butter. When you have Solomon and Arik at ends, Mahomes had all the time in the world to throw and torched our poor Db's. Frank Clark even got a sack against Staley. So I can see why they are so confident in their offense. Having said that, it's amazing how different our defense is with Bosa and Ford at ends, it really is.

Yet, in that 3rd preseason game (the dress rehearsal where starters play the most—1.5 quarters to all the first half) the Niners still edged KC out on points scored...granted I think Mahomes was pulled out ahead of Jimmy G:

(pardon the annoying, lispy KC announcer from some high school it sounds like)

No Kittle or Debo or Samuals either.

Boys it's preseason! Nobody shows anything,
But if you wanna go there, Jimmy ripped their defense for like 180 yards in the half without any weapons! Lol

No scheming, vanilla D. Backups play harder in those games regardless if it's game 3. I wouldn't read much into that game. But I hope the Chiefs confidence comes from that game.

I rewatched the week 3 matchup recently. 9ers were insanely undisciplined back then. Roughly 150 penalty yards in the first half, poor tacklers (epidemic that year), poor communication on defense, a few more key injuries again and gave up 35 in the first half as a result. The personnel was just so different too.

The only take away that still applies today is the defense does still struggle with 1) Pace (hurry up), 2) Screens (esp. middle and delayed) 3) Seam routes and 4) Off-schedule plays (losing their receivers)

Our offense will score points.

If the offense can control the clock, keep Mahomes on the bench and make them play our game (physically dominant) and the defense can control 1-4, we win this game.

This is a game where our physicality must dominant them into submission.

Chiefs boards are very interesting. It definitely isn't a family friendly site with all the swear words, sexual innuendos, racial slurs etc …

This mindset has been prevalent since the 49ers became relevant during the reign of Bill Walsh, and became worse
with each and every Lombardi. As if the growth of the Castro/Gay Community in San Francisco, as well as a persons
sexual preference, has anything to do with an NFL teams ability to play of the game of football.

By those standards, the cities of Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta to name a few, should also be considered in the
same light. It's a feeble way of thinking, which I find weak and ignorant TBH. I've heard it from opposing teams fans on
the streets, read it on fan forums, and believe it or not, I've even heard the slights and slurs in the Press Box at 'The Stick'.
I'm one to never have been worried about the left wing or the right wing. My main concern has always been the Bird in the middle.

Put in in perspective though. Shannon Sharpe has been singing praises for 'Ma-homey' for the past two weeks. Come game time he couldn't get himself to pick against the Niners. Objective analysts like Cowherd also picked the Niners. It's the "Mahomes is Jordan" crowd and the "I cant stand the Niners bc they stole my soul" critics like Florio that are praying for a Chiefs victory.

I hope it's a massacre tomorrow. Want these dips**ts on tv to eat crow live.

I've played 3 games on Madden and KC just can't stop the niner run game. I just hope thats how it goes tomorrow. In one game Mahommes attempted 40 passes to Jimmy's 17.

I'm pretty sure the 49er run game is keeping the KC defensive staff at night because I dont think anybody has really done a good job of stopping it. AZ basically had to give up the air yardage to stop the ground game. They still lost. Kyle basically showcased the run game to really make KC focus on the run game. That way we can burn them in the air when we have to.

Thats has been my train of thought to. Against MIN and GB, the run game just worked and we were fortunate to not have to put tape out there on Jimmy for KC to use. I'm thinking KC will sell out BIG to stop the run, as what one of their guys was saying this week, and making Jimmy beat them. Yes, they stopped Henry but the TEN passing game isn't as dynamic either and lets remember TEN was still winning most of that game. The TEN D just couldn't keep Mahommes held down and we all know the SF D is so much better in all categories than TEN.

Also maybe KC knows they won't be able to contain the run game the whole game so their plan is to just let Mahommes loose.
