I just watched the KC vs 49ers pre-season game this year, and without Ford and Bosa, KC's offense literally went through our defense like a hot knife through butter. When you have Solomon and Arik at ends, Mahomes had all the time in the world to throw and torched our poor Db's. Frank Clark even got a sack against Staley. So I can see why they are so confident in their offense. Having said that, it's amazing how different our defense is with Bosa and Ford at ends, it really is.

Yet, in that 3rd preseason game (the dress rehearsal where starters play the most—1.5 quarters to all the first half) the Niners still edged KC out on points scored...granted I think Mahomes was pulled out ahead of Jimmy G:



(pardon the annoying, lispy KC announcer from some high school it sounds like)

No Kittle or Debo or Samuals either.

Boys it's preseason! Nobody shows anything,
But if you wanna go there, Jimmy ripped their defense for like 180 yards in the half without any weapons! Lol

This mindset has been prevalent since the 49ers became relevant during the reign of Bill Walsh, and became worse

I prefer the ol Vikings crowd or even the patsies. I think it's all that pent up anger if us dumping used up quarterbacks over the years. Still montana had a little left in the tank.
