"They surprised us with it," Shanahan said via Vrentas. "They are loose and feeling good, and they had fun with it. We'll see how it is when we watch film."

In dissecting film having to stop and think who is who hurts the efficiency of the session. I'm not sure an almost rain-man-like Kyle is going to be too happy in that process. He's so meticulous and perfectionistic that this one could backfire.

Nah, Tony Dungy - in an interview with Matt Miococo basically said the 49ers got this in the bag and the game won't even be close. It's going to be really simple. 49er are going to run it down KC"s throat and basically sack Mahomes. Good 'ol 49er football at its finest. If Baltimore, Vikings, and Green Bay couldn't stop Kyle's run game, I have a hard time believing KC can either. And if they do - they probably have to play some sort of weird exotic run defense that Kyle will just play pass out of.

Michael Strahan basically said the way they shut down the Patriots offense was the pass rush. Patriots couldn't handle the NY Giant's pass rush and basically that's how NY beat the Pats in that super bowl. He sees the same thing with the 49ers in how the DLine for the 49ers have the ability to shut down Mahomes and that explosive offense. I agree with Tony and Michael.

Both coming from......LISTEN CHEFS FANS!.....from defensive guys.

Prince knocked it out of the park one year. I do remember that. I think it was Colts v. Bears and it was pouring rain, pouring rai-ai-ainnn ....

Lol I remember I was at a guy's house with some friends that year..he turned the tube off at halftime cause he said, "Prince is disgusting" lol. I am not a huge Prince fan but do like a few songs.
Rewatching the first Seahawks game for some reason. Our blitzes that game were unreal

Also our catching ability

No dropped passes please. Hopefully saleh dials up some of those same blitzes.

Bourne cleaned up the dropsies.
Jimmy's final stat line for the game: 22/28 287 2 TD
Named SB MVP after he leads the game winning drive.
A whole lot to digest here

I can't even remember the last halftime show I actually watched, even partly. Mick Jagger maybe many yrs ago and that was partly. I hate halftime shows. Good time to get drinks and snacks though. I don't know exactly when halftime became such a stupid spectacle and then more of a stupid spectacle.

Halftime shows are garbage, but the NFL makes a fortune w them because they can get so many non-football fans to tune in. I have friends that only watch for the commercials and halftime show (they're insane obviously).

Halftime show is the bathroom break. I actually like watching SB commercials and the movie trailers they usually drop during them...halftime show is perfect time to step away.

guess I have a totally different perspective. Halftime shows have showcased some pretty good performances. Usually more entertaining than watching teams I have zero interest in.

Even for acts I like, i have hated the halftime show because the acoustics are usually so awful.
It's the NFL's way to attract non football fans and hopefully make for some social media boob moment with one act doing something stupid or ridiculous so it won't change.

I read some article years ago where it said that the huge spectacle started when they got Michael Jackson to perform. I guess the year prior to that, In Living Color had a halftime program and the ratings were through the roof and it was live. The NFL took notice and that's when they finally decided to get big name performers rather and a baton twirling team performance with Opera music in the background. Again, I don't know how true that is but I read it somewhere years ago.

I enjoy being witness to the "moment in time" aspect that the artists capture.
