Whatever it takes! I do feel our D and run game will slow the game down. This 2 weeks of rest will only benefit out older DB who definitely needs his rest!

The defense and specifically pass rush pulled up in the 2nd half. I don't think it's reflective of their domination.

A little worried about the Hill vs Sherman matchup. Going to need a safety over the top at all times.

He got most of that during desperation time but yeah I feel you. We cant sleep on the chiefs at all.

The only team that can beat the 49ers at this point is the 49ers.

My thoughts going in:

The Chiefs are very good, don't get me wrong. Mahomes will be tricky. I just love the matchup for us though.

The Chiefs defense is terrible. Their second half numbers look good on the surface but they played the Chargers, Raiders, Patriots, Broncos, Bears, Chargers, Texans and Titans in their last eight games. The Chargers, Raiders, Broncos and Bears were atrocious on offense. The Patriots had their worst year in a decade. The Texans were above average but they had one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The Titans were a one dimensional running team that flamed out after having to play 3 straight road playoff games. Both the Texans and the Titans were still able to attack them. We will be able to do whatever we want to do against them. Run or pass.

Mahomes has had two playoff games with great success against the Texans and Titans. I already stated how bad the Texans were and the Titans were just gassed out. I watched them today and they weren't getting any pressure from their front four. Mahomes is good at getting out of the pocket but he isn't on the same level as Russell Wilson in terms of elusiveness. He can be pressured.

If we can get a couple of stops and force a couple of FG tries, it should be fairly straightforward.

Jimmy got into a shootout with Brees. In NO. I'm confident he can do it again. But that's IF the D doesn't show up.

This is obviously going to be the toughest game of the year for us. Chiefs have a terrifyingly explosive offense. We will need to play our absolute best ball of the year on defense and run well to keep Mahomes off the field.

Expect a healthy serving of Mahommes hype for the next two weeks
