That said, he has basically no control. They will franchise him, obviously.

Any notable injuries for the Packers in the divisional game?
The Niners won 5 rings but left 7 more on the table.

Championship Game Disasters:
1983...stolen by the Refs with infamous Lott invisible holding call.
1990...upset loss to G-men at home.
1992...upset loss to Cowboys at home,
1993....not an upset loss but they could have played better.
1997...embarrassing loss to Packers at home.
2011...Fumbled away the game at home.
2013...Crabtree gets Sherman'd in the end zone

Lazard went out, not sure if it will linger. Not that he is a household name, but as thin as they are at receiver he has become their move the chains guy.

This happens when Dalvin Cook got 9 for 18 yds running. Wonder what the Greenbay RB will get...

That's a great video. I think Aaron Rogers is two notches above Kirk Counsins, though. He probably is going to try to get the ball out of his hand quickly unless we build up a sizable lead and force them to play catch up. Important for the 49ers to start solid on Sunday like they did with the Vikings.

Disagree on 2011, 2013, 1997, 1993 teams. The teams they lost to were vastly superior that year. The seahawks, packers, and cowboys were the better team that year but i think the 49ers would have lost against the patriots in 2011.

The Giants were not better than the niners in 2011. We beat them in the reg season and were the betting line favorites. 1997 13-3 with home field and the betting line favorites.

While I understand, as someone who pegged us as, at best, a 9 win team, can you really be that upset, no matter the outcome?

Well from the standpoint of the 49ers being the best team left in the entire playoffs, yes.

But if you're looking at it from the standpoint of expectations prior to the season, most definitely no.

the more you win the more you want to win. the further you go. the further you want to go. now that we are in the dance, you take it all the way to a winning conclusion or it is a bitter disappointment with well deserved anger. there are no moral victories at this point of the game. there are no nice second place trophies. there are no well its a honor just to get this far. there are no more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

totally agree. I don't even really think about the 2012 team.
