Hopefully we are quicker to yank him if he starts giving up the deep ball again.
Go Niners. They worked so hard to get to this point. It's hard to believe they won't be ready. We actually had some really good luck lately. Please let's hope it continues. Can't wait for this game. Then the next, then the next. Then the draft.

Honestly I'm fine with either guy starting. I will say Spoon is on a short leash. I also remember Crock talking about the last game and how after watching the coaches film spoon wasn't terrible in coverage. Said their was times when the qb just had too long to throw the ball and other dudes blew the call and he was trying to help.

I don't know we will see

If the pass rush is back to where it was I'm not worried about Spoon starting. He's no top tier CB obviously but he was playing great when our pass rush was dominating. The whole defense is predicated on rushing the passer.

Just listen to the presser and they all sound pretty dialed in and ready to play.

All these people are trying to sugarcoat it by saying they're pretty equal. No the difference is they might be equal for most of the game however the major difference is Witherspoon gives up touchdowns and Mosley does not. Simple as that this is pure insanity. In Witherspoon's career he's maybe had seven good games where as Mosleys had that just this year alone. Enough of this b******t
3 more days ugh

As I get older I hate for hoping time to come quicker, but man....

He tried to crack a few jokes but for the most part Joe Staley looked like he was running through some mental reps while talking to the media. He looked super serious and super focused.
I really cannot wait for Saturday! God, it feels so good to be back in the playoffs again. Our off-season hasn't started yet and I hope we keep it rolling through Saturday!! 3 more days!!!

Honestly, I think part of why Witherspoon has struggled is that Marcell Harris has been back there instead of Tartt, who is coming back this weekend. When you have missing pieces in the secondary, it's like a net with holes in it. Harris is kind of like tape covering holes, and when you have Julio Jones getting behind the DB's, Harris was often in the wrong position or too far away to make a play on the ball over the top. I'd be curious to get Jonnydel's take on Witherspoon's struggles, since he knows details that the ordinary fan does not.
