We need physical WRs period. Don't know why we think we can get away with a lack of physicality in this division. Kittle is physical and that's why he rules

Deebo doesn't worry me as much long term as Pettis, and I have been a Pettis guy since he was at Washington. Deebo's drops remind me a lot of Kittle his rookie year. Just trying to do too much, and lose concentration. Hopefully he cleans those up like Kittle did.

Pettis, on the other hand, took that shot on the sideline that jarred the ball loose on his drop, and from there he was non-existent. On the last throw, it looked to me like he alligator-armed it. He just isn't doing anything to shake that rep of being soft.

I have said it a million times we needed bigger WRs. May be DK Metcalf and Josh Gordon might not sound too bad an idea right about now huh?

The one and only good thing (if you could call it that) is a devastating loss such as this cuts through and forces you to sit up and reflect on previous viewpoints which might have been off and overly subjective.

I can definitely see a complete makeover to the WR corps after the season.

But, in terms of this season? It could well be a case of too little too late.

I'd prefer to see a rock, paper scissor best of 3 personally.

Deebo worries me too, may be "worry" is not the right word, but let's just say as a 2nd round pick, I am not seeing anything special.

As for Pettis? I have long been saying he was the wrong pick and should have moved up to grab Courtland Sutton.

And people talk about KB, but quite frankly he has never been a big "dropper" until this game. Plus, let's be fair, the guy isn't a 2nd round pick neither.

All in all, I can see a complete makeover of the WR room in the offseason and it needs to be one.

Deebo is absolutely special.

Oh yes it does alright especially when we didn't have to lose the game.

Listen, we lost to a 29th ranked passing D.

And as the 2nd ranked rush O, we couldn't run the ball.

Our O-line was getting destroyed all night until Jimmy G started seeing ghosts.

In the end, it was the offensive genius head coach who lost his composure which sealed the fate of the team to lose a game against its rival on home turf.

Not embarrassed you say? You should talk to some of the 9ers fans who were at Levi's. The overwhelming report was it was absolutely brutal from the Seahawks fans. It was yet another massive loss of face, not unlike when the team was under Harbaugh really.

And I dare not watch TV for a while. It is a combination of pure embarrassment, frustration, disappointment, pain and anger.

Losing a last second game in OT doesn't equal getting embarrassed

I don't find it embarrassing. The only thing that really annoys me is it was the Seatoots that beat us.

We were going fine until Sanders got hurt. We didn't have Kittle which hurt us.

The worst thing for me is that the WR after Sanders went out were not running their routes properly and getting free and dropping catches that guys like Sanders would have been catching. They were embarrassing.

Kyle should also have called it better. Much of the loss was on Kyle for not adjusting to the Toots stacking the box and smothering our run game. Kyle should have had some better alternatives to beat them with a stacked box. I was very disappointed in that.

But embarrassing no. We just lost our first game after a magnificent run. It is part of NFL. A good reality check to motivate the players and coaches to never give up. The only ones who should be embarrassed is Goodwin, Bourne and Pettis. They should all be cut.

I definitely think they'll make some changes there. I really don't think Goodwin would have been on the roster this year if Taylor and Hurd aren't hurt to start the year.

Deebo has shown enough promise that he can be a good solid starter, but he hasn't shown he can be dominant. He is tough as nails though, and he is good with the YAC, so he will be here a while. I could see him as the eventual #2.

My guess is you have Deebo, Hurd, Richie James, and maybe Bourne. Everyone else is a big question mark for next year.

Agreed. He was the only WR who stepped up yesterday after Sander got hurt. If only the others caught half as good as Deebo we would have won. But they were bums

Not sure I agree with this completely. A lot will depend on whether or not Sanders returns. If he does and Taylor and Hurd come back healthy next year I think you would have a pretty good core with Kittle and Samuel. Clearly Hurd and Samuel still need to prove themselves but I like Samuel's toughness and Hurd showed he had some dog in him as well during pre-season. Samuel just has to be more consistent catching the ball. I like Bourne but he is another guy that needs to show more consistent hands. I am indifferent to Pettis and James, and I am no longer convinced that Goodwin's head is really in the game anymore. I guess we will see how things go for the remainder of the season. Maybe one of the young guys will step it up.

In running jet sweeps, sure. LOL.

He is not special, who are we kidding here? You make him sound like Jerry Rice.

Easier said then done.

This one will hurt for a while, probably years unless the 9ers could reverse the trend back to pre-2012.

I read this in a Dwight Schrute voice. It fit

I agree except about Bourne. He has had some good and brilliant moments but he is too inconsistent to stay. He would go well at the Browns, Jets or Dolphins. But not any more with this team. There are better around and we need to go find them.
