A good sign for Mike McGlinchey's status tonight on his IG: https://t.co/qvAfNJdWzz

The 49ers run D has been weak but it hasn't mattered since the team has built leads.
Will Carroll choose to put the ball in Carson's hands, or Wilson's? Either way the D will be tested.
The offense better be ready to score.
lol... Oscar making it sound like our NFC-leading defense doesn't stand a chance vs Wilson, Carson, and a mediocre offensive line.
Our #2 ranked rushing offense gets both starting tackles and FB back today--Seattle's D is soft as hell. THEIR offense "better be ready to score."

Safe to say we'll be seeing these two #49ers back on the field tonight. Per, them. pic.twitter.com/csw12uE9nu

MASSIVE upgrade for the run game.
Staley will be an upgrade for sure. If McGlinchey turns our to be a run upgrade over Brunskill, it will be awesome. Brunskill was very good in the run game. His ability to hit the correct opponent at the second level was terrific. I am tempted to say that if McGlinchey plays as well as Brunskill has, the run game will be trucking.
I know I have been a big supporter of Brunskill in the OL thread, but the kid has earned it. IMO, he will be the starter at RG next year.
McG is a much better run-blocker. He's an elite level OT in the run game...Brunskill was the 10th ranked pass-protector via PFF (take that for what it is). I also think Kyle limited the passing game a little with both backup tackles in there. We will find out tonight
I also agree Brunskill has earned a roster spot and very well could be the starting RG next yr. Great problem to have!

I mean it's where they lineup. Lockett is mainly their slot DB. K'waun at this point is one of the best slot DBs in the league (PFF has him 6th overall for CBs). Sherman will man the left side of the field like he always does
I don't even know how much we see of Gordon tonight.

you are correct sir.

Lockett runs a lot of his routes from the slot.

I know it sucks to say it BUT one of the reasons this run D wasn't elite was because of Kwon. He was awful vs the run. They gotta swarm to the ball, you can't arm tackle Carson.
End of the day our defense is better than theirs and our offense is right on par with theirs.
We're better in the trenches which wins games.

Maybe maybe not?
If the #49ers are to make a roster move for tonight's game (such as activating TE Garrett Celek from PUP), that must be done by 1PM (PT). As far as George Kittle's status, that will become official 90 minutes before kickoff when seven inactive players must be announced.

Agree with the difference of having Greenlaw in the game.Originally posted by NYniner85:Originally posted by Scottie15:Just need to do better against the run. Carson has been tearing it up and our run D hasn't been good. Shore up the Run D and force Wilson into pressure and through the air.
our run D has been better than avg according to the rankings (14th overall). I actually think Greenlaw is a upgrade to Kwon in the run game (greenlaw has zero missed tackles this yr).
One big matchup is gonna be K Williams vs lockett.
