"Omg Bakarvious Mingo, a 3rd rounder and some extremely forgettable name." So you can add in the OMG salary cap hit this year which they seem to be handling just fine so yes Clowney has been worth it. For what they gave up he had been elite. But will never live up to his pre draft hype

I mean Shaq Lawson has a "positive grade" when you talking about pass rush grades.

Clowney was brought in to hit the qb and he's been avg at it so far. They took a gamble (and ate that money) hoping he'd replace Frank Clark and that's just not the case. They gave Ziggy $9M and he's basically a ghost.

Outside of the cap hit I don't think they gave up much, I agree with that.

I will disagree they're just fine in regards to passing the rushing...they spent almost $25M on two guys and they're damn near the bottom of the league in pressure rate (31st).

I what you did there!

Wilson is single-handedly making Seattle look much better than they really are. Average skill players and a mediocre defense.

Wilson is going to make some plays Monday, but it won't be enough.

Id like for our D to hold him to just 1 so i could rub it in seahawk fans face. But wilson will run around like a leprechaun when his team is down big and try and put some points up.

I'd take Tyler Lockett over any WR we have.

And they aren't in a bad spot with their salary cap so they didn't give up much.

Stop that doesn't make spending $26M on Clowney/ziggy okay because "they have the money" they might as well wipe their ass with that cash...they could have resigned Clark with that money and had a long-term guy who's productive.

Instead they'll have Collier (who they overdrafted in the 1st) heading into 2020 they guy has been a disaster so far.

No matter how you spin it they blew it this yr in trying to upgrade their pass rush. I'll bet any logical seahawk fan would agree.

What part of I have watched all of their games this year do you not comprehend? They gave up guys who probably would've produced just as good plus a draft pick. That you think he's playing anything better than meh, is hilarious. They wanted a pass rusher, and got a run stopper, at best. Two sacks after nine games isn't getting it done, if it were someone on our team under performing like that, you'd be yelling "bust!".

Lol 2 sacks shows my exact point. So with your incredible in depth knowledge you'd say Nick Bosa had a bad game Vs the Cardinals. I dont care if you have watched every Seahawk game. It's clear you don't know what you are watching.

Resulting to insults doesn't help your case, just makes you look like an immature ass. We have backups on this team producing better results. It appears your definition of a great player differs from mine, that's okay. What's not okay is insulting people who disagree with your opinion, especially when I know you wouldn't insult me to my face if you knew me, or were standing face to face with me. I'm going on fifty, have watched football for over forty of those years, and I know football as good as anyone who isn't a professional, so chill with the immature b******t. It doesn't impress me.

Overthecap has Clowney at an 8 million cap hit. Yes their pass rush isn't very good. Your saying a team shouldn't spend money to try and fix their pass rush. If I remember correctly you wanted ziggy this off season before we got Ford. The Hawks have like 75 million in cap space next year so I don't think they are hurting from attempting to fix their pass rush. I don't even know how or why Zoggy got brought up. Was it to try and strengthen your arguement. This was about Clowney who has performed very well for a 3rd round pick.

It's hard for any team to win if you can't stop the run. And that goes for both teams. Everything San Fran does is based on solid D and running game. With Seattle having Carson I can say that you can't arm tackle him. In a close game of attrition it's nice to have a bell cow running back that can get 4 yards after contact. Breida and Coleman are both really good running backs we'll certainly have our hands full but Seattle is inviting a shootout

Ziggy/Clowney vs...lets say Bosa/Ford or even Bosa/Buckner, might I even say Bosa/Armstead...I'd rather have any two of our players compared to Clowney and anyone else on their D. It's been stated in previous threads, Kyle knows how to isolate and mitigate the opposing teams top pass rusher. The best day any pass rusher had against us was Myles and at that point in time, he was considered the DPOY.

The game really comes down to how slippery Russ will be and their run game, if we can stay disciplined we win hands down.

Jimmy g is gonna have to put up points if we win this game. Theirs no way our defense is stopping Wilson. Wilson is an mvp candidate unfortunately

That's why I said how slippery he is, if Russ was a pocket QB or even a less mobile QB like Rodgers we'd destroy Seattle, their power lies in his ability play elite backyard football every week.

Jimmy is gonna have another big game this week. Seattle's secondary is porous, but beyond that is the fact that they'll probably be selling out to stop our run game from the get go. They will pay dearly for it with big plays and YAC.

Sounds like the texans might have ate some of that tag. That's a little better.

I'm not saying don't spend money on pass rushers that's not even close to what I'm saying...I'm saying they invested that cash and draft picks on the wrong guys at this pt, clearly.

I wanted Ziggy two yrs ago, not this past off season. Dude is a walking corpse.

I mean, they could have saved their 3rd rd pick and about $5M and just brought in Vinny Curry this yr and got the same production as a pass rusher

End of the day their pass rush (which includes clowney) is dogs**t compared to what they had last yr.

They have one of the worst pressure rates in football an he's part of that. I only wished they would have given him an extension as soon as they traded for him
