This is true but you know the old one, "if my aunt were my uncle she would have balz." Well, in a similar fashion, when kyle or his dad go down to the Walmart parking lot they can pick out 3 guys and 2 of them could start for us.

Two yrs in a row, that is where our top runner came from. FA..unh...UD FA. Point is, if we took McCaff in draft, would we not have wasted a pick, in that if kyle wants a RB, he just waits for UDFAs? It isn't that simple but you get the point. Hey don't think for a minute i wouldn't have loved to have mcCaff, and he was one of the guys i wanted. BUT...with kyle's ability to find RBs out of thin air, i truly wonder if that would have been a wise choice.

Re: solly, true, he isn't what we had expected at this point in time but if AA leaves, we will be mighty glad to have Solly. And Blair and Julian and DJ...you see my point....when kyle has the gene from his dad to get a stud starter RB in rd 6, UDFA...or at walmart?

Hindsight is always 20 20, what if we took Rogers instead of The Smith? Just because they're good now doesn't mean they would have been as a 49er.

And then now you may not have Bosa. You can't just change one thing and pretend like everything else would stay the same. Maybe they win more games with McCaffrey and instead of Bosa and Thomas they have McCaffrey and Rashan Gary.

Tomorrow's game will be a real test for us. Can't wait to see how we perform.

Tomorrow reminds me of the 2011 week 10 game vs the Giants, game where we became legit that year.

Have posted likewise some time back, Billbird, and i agree it seems eerie. When FA, the trades and the draft were all added up, suddenly we went from no DEs to Dee and Bosa, plus Buck and Arik. We also went from passes across the middle, to Kwon Alexander....and that krapt stopped.

With a DBackfield of Uncle shrerm and not much more we went to spoon again, then injured , then next guy up, plus the other guys who now make this a very credible backfield. At LB we added Warner the yr before but by himself , he couldn't handle everything. Now Kwon, Dre, and Warner...

Then on O we are set, only to lose not 1 but both OTs...for awhile anyway...and yet we keep winning, JG isn't getting Pole axed every play, and the OTs from who knows where, (our swing OT is out for season), Brunskill and SKule, with aid of TEs (Courtesy of kyle), suddenly make the OT position serviceable to downright pretty good. A real bad loss was Au jus. No replacement for him but TE/WR/RB combos do help.

The two place holders interior OLs, Laken and Person, suddenly come on. Then Richburg gets healthy after playing on torn quad all last yr. Kittle we had the yr before as the best TE in the NFL, a 5th round pick (it just seems odd, no?) .

Then we nail down Deebo and Hurd(who is out injured), have Goodwin, Pettis (both talented but only so-so so far), and then this week , BINGO...Emmanuel. JG got dropped in our lap a yr and a half ago, and we took the trade.(BB had no choice and JL/Kyle helped him out).

Our RBs are from Walmart parking lot or wherever and kyle has the magic touch picking 'em. This yr it's Brieda , a FA , and mostert.

You put all that together and it just doesn't seem possible considering we have completely rebuilt going into our 3rd season. So who knows where we end up but if we get to the SB and win it, it wont be any more fantastic than what has happened to date.

That is not a prediction, just an observation. But no matter how you slice it, it has been surreal. Also amazing bit of HCing, GMing and Jed allowing it.

Yes he's 4-0, doesn't mean he's playing well at the QB position overall. I've listen to some crossover podcasts with Panther guys and they're not impressed at all.

He's had easy INTs dropped, fumbled 6x, been sacked 10X, and I don't think he's really lead any awesome meaningful drives either. He's basically just not f**ked up when he can't f**k up lol.

He hasn't come close to playing a defense like ours. Getting the pressure SF get's with only 4 guys is bad news for a inexperienced QB. I expect Saleh to sneak in some blitzes to see what he does against it.

I also expect SF to run well against them...I read somewhere they have the 30th rank run D per DVOA. As long as SF doesn't turn the ball over a ton we should win IMO.

That's not true, Kyle Allen has been very careful with the ball and very accurate when he has passed it. That and his decision making are why the Panthers have won 4 in a row. However ha has had ball security issues when he's been sacked, but seems to have corrected those issues the last two weeks.
The "Panther fans" you heard on the podcast are what we refer to on the Carolina message board as Cam-stans. These guys have been lamenting the fact that this team is undefeated now that Newton is off the field. 0-8 in his last starts the past two seasons while Kyle Allen is 5-0 with the same team the past two seasons, so take what they say with a grain of salt.

This should be a heck of a game, The 49ers will definitely be the best defense we've faced all year, and likewise for you guys. With two evenly matched squads its going to come down to who makes the least mistakes ie turnovers. If the Panthers protect the football I think we can ride our running game and defense to victory.
