Sad that anybody would want to tank for Tua. He's far from being an NFL caliber QB. I don't see him transitioning to the NFL

Really? I see him more NFL ready and capable than Watson or Kyler Murray did coming out.

Maybe it's the Bama bias in me, but, if you listen to his interviews, dude knows football. He's not just out there flinging it around to whomever, he understands coverages and concepts. He's also running one of the most NFL ready schemes out there. Sarkisian is running a WCO down there. Very similar to what he was running with the Falcons after taking over for Shanny.

Are you running this back to the PI on Lott in the '83 NFCCG, if memory serves?
Cause if so, you are Red and Gold in the blood.

In the '81 NFCCG against the Cowboys, there was a PI on Lott that changed the game and nearly wound up costing us the game. The Niners had the lead, and Danny White threw deep right fly to Pearson. Replays clearly showed Pearson pushing off against Lott, but Lott got called. Lott had returned the INT at least 30 yards as well, to about midfield. Instead, the Cowboys got the ball deep in Niner territory and then scored the go ahead TD. The Cowboys lead then held up until The Catch.

I forgot to mention, despite the OPI, Lott made a Pro Bowl caliber interception (then the long INT return).
if this game is NOT out of reach during HALFTIME, then Shanny didn't get his team UP for this game.

if the game is not OUT OF REACH by halftime, then Shanahan didn't do a good job getting us UP for Sunday !!

Anyone get the feeling the gameplan will be built to create some passing opportunities for Jimmy?

They're one of the worst teams in the NFL vs the run

I get that and we'll be running it plenty but I feel like we'll see some good play action plays to get our passing game involved. Call it a gut feeling.

Yeah I could see some play-action going, they do have some players on that DL though.

We will see...hoping for a ass kicking and no injuries
This is the game we should focus on getting Pettis, Goodwin, and Samuel on the right track.
Niners should win. The only concern for me is that there will be no consistent offensive scheme with both Tackles and the Fullback gone. They won't dominate because of that but the Niners have a good defense and if they don't get silly with the turnovers I have them winning 20 - 10.

They are not getting Tua. They are gonna get the best Offensive Tackle in that draft. But yah I hope the 9ers whip the Redskins, well at least cover the spread. For once I'd like to see the 9ers have a New England vs. Miami Dolphins type game, but still wouldn't take the 9ers with the current spread.

Agreed, at this point it's between Cincy and Miami.
Watched a replay of that game the other day and ,yeah, that was one of the worst pass interfeence calls I've ever seen. I'd also forgotten that the 49ers turned the ball over six times yet still won.

Nah they will dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides and run the ball well vs a horrible run D.

I'm expecting some defensive turnovers and possibly a TD as well. This is gonna be a bloodbath
That one was just as egregious as the one against the Cowboys in the 81 title game but the one you are talking about cost us the game. Remember the phantom pass interference on Eric Wright about 5 plays earlier where Theisman threw it out of bounds and they called Wright for his hand being on Art Monk. I'm convinced that the refs were told that the Reskins needed to be in the Super Bowl because of Riggins and the Hogs and "The Fun Bunch" being so popular. I still haven't gotten over it.

Yep.
Disagree. They can't run effectively without McGlinchey, Staley and especially Juice. But they have enough to win and, as you said, that defense is fierce. I think they'll get it done.
