That said Shanny is an offensive genius and our defensive front is monstrous this year. LB edge goes to 2011, offensive line mightve been better than this years and they had Gore and VD. Crabs is better than anything we have now at WR but Jimmy smokes both Kap and Alex. this 2019 team will probably be better when all is said and done. i think the only major win for 2011 is Willis and Bowman. they also had cowboy and aldon wreaking havoc on every play but this four man front is more dangerous and lets our DBs do their job
Even though I think the 2019 team matches up well, I agree the disrespect is ridiculous. Kyle has more speed on the outside and a better QB to help his run game. As much of a machine as VD was, Kittle just has more game and is a much more natural and fluid player.
People always wanna say Harbaugh wasn't good enough, but it was really some fluke plays and calls that kept us from a title (and unfortunate timing of Smith injuries in 2012). We saw what Harbs could do with a real offense in 2012. That was our only good offense Crab (preachilles), Delanie, VD, Gore. Alex held them back, but we got a glimpse when Kap came in.
I think Kap gets disrespected badly too. The 10 games he had a real offense, he was unreal. Then we came out with Marlon Moore and the boys in 2013, and everything progressively went downhill from a roster and organizational standpoint. He went through some down years as the org duked it out with his coach, and hired Tomsula, but Kap proved he still had game in 2016. We give Jimmy a lot of excuses, but Kap played under remarkably worse circumstances and avgd 250 total ypg and a 16/4 ratio in 11 starts.
