Several things upset me about the game and i assume upset the coaches. we see how the loss of joe hurts. jimmy got hit way to many times.. i know some will say. meh. thats football.,. no.. we can not have that continuing. turnovers were bad and not pleased with the start. but i think most logical fans knew this would not be a easy win. the steelers would give a good effort and we can not be that arrogant to think we can roll over people.. however at the end of the day. we had a team for the first time in forever do a perfect two minute drill to win a game and the defense held.. in the last two years we would have found a way to lose the game. so that winning mentality led by jimmy at the end of the day and ... pettis.. was very very nice to see;. for the last two years i have said.. we always find ways to lose games but yesterday we finally found a way to win one which was wonderful. the turnovers and hits on jimmy are troubling and i hate saying alls well that ends well. but you have to be happy that we found a way to win a close game and the moral victory guys from the last two years must admit. the real victories feel better

The hits are on the OLine not working efficiently. Probably stifled our run game as well. The lack of depth here and inexperience is hurting us. I am not blaming it Skule. He is green and did what he could under high pressure. The lack of work and depth is on coaching and management.

agree, i am trying not to be hard on the kid to. i understand.. we need to enjoy the win. be happy we are 3-0 and i am.. but long term. big picture.. jimmy can not get hit like yesterday moving forward

The hits on Jimmy had nothing to do with Skule. Steelers continuously sent more blitzers than blockers. It was a risk that did not pay off, jimmy did not get rattled and made them pay for the lack of people in coverage.

correct observation. cc doesn't understand the Steelers constantly blitzed safety's and extra rushers all game long.

ok, again. i was not trying to throw the kid under the bus. just concerned about jimmys health after sunday.. you do not think all teams will then do what they did to us? we better expect that stuff . there are no more secrets. just need to show improvement there

no, because Jimmy has just proven he doesn't get rattled and is capable of making defenses pay by rushing extra blitzers like that. Jimmy took punishment, but made them pay as well. as jd said, the Steelers had their backs against the wall and had nothing to lose.

I think he'll be a solid QB for years.

dont know about anyone else but i was struttin in to work today!!! lmao damn its great to be 3-0!!!!
Anyone got a clip of Kyle Shanahan right after we won the game? I just listened to the radio broadcast of the last score and the game winning defensive stop and apparently during the on field celeration, Shanny was like "the happiest I've ever seen him look" according to Greg Papa. I read comments from the presser alluding to his emotion on the field as well.

I love to see the emotion from hard-fought triumph. It's one of the roots that can lead to the growth of something very, very special as a season goes on sometimes.

I was in section 415 screaming my ass off every defensive snap! How'd Levi's sound on the broadcast? Were we loud?

yall did well, night and day from the past years

End of game was the loudest!

I listened to the game on Sirius Radio, and it was weird,,,,it sounded like whenever anything good happened for the steelers, the crowd roared. Sounded more like it was an away game.
A game we surely would've lost the past 4 years. The D is coming around, OL is a question mark and Jimmy G was knocked around a bit. We are 3-0 and the world looks great.

On the turnovers, I heard that a bit. On the TV broadcast, the crowd overall didn't sound super loud, but that could have more to do with the broadcast than the fans. Also, could have something to do with me screaming in my home whenever we made a play.

it looked like a bunch of pitts fans were there. during the broadcast it showed two pitts fans standing up and throwing their arms forward to signal first down in an obnoxious way, we were losing at that point, all i could think about after pettis scored was that i hope all the niner fans around those two dipchits gave them hell!! lol.

Nah he didn't. They had something like 70-80 total yards at the half

Barely beat the Steelers with new QB

Knew that was coming

Haters.
Even during the game, Trent Green seemed so disappointed when the 49ers didn't fold.
I'm gonna steal a line here from Apples new advertising campaign..
It's not about being the loudest voice. It's about having the final word
49ers won.
Still undefeated

That's definitely more to do with your emotional bias filter.

He had like 70 yards passing other than two coverage breakdowns that only happened when Verrett came in. The 49ers were openly daring him to throw most of the game. He's good at evading pressure in the pocket but was repeatedly throwing high and missed some wide open receivers. He didn't show anything to make anyone believe he is anymore than a career backup. Steelers fans certainly aren't psyched about him starting the rest of the season.
