Where did I say they had no chance? I said that this had the looks of an upset and I was worried we'd come in overconfident and be sloppy. I was told that was dumb and this would be an easy blowout win for us. You tell me which prediction ended up being closer to the truth.

But I don't care. We won and I'm ecstatic. You should be happy about that rather than looking to call out other posters just because they didn't go with the complete homer view.

He had a couple of good tackles in the run game that I remember. And he must not have been too bad in coverage because I don't remember hearing his name.

3-0 since 1998, that team went 12-4 that year.

McG had a tough game. He got abused time after time. Unfortunately, that happens from time to time. Hope he puts it behind him and gets back to playing as well as he has before. He also had Godzilla playing right over him, and that didn't help.

Coach Shanny's worst called game for first half. I mean some of those calls were just awful. Then we had stonehands catching JG's passes or rather batting them up in the air for INTs.

Couple guys stood out and were dependable...Kittle of course, and Au Jus....both played their hearts out and did really well. How we won this game, IDK. Should have been Steelers win. But we took it from them and now Tomlin is 0-3 for the first time in ...well, forever.

In the end our guys sucked up their guts and stole this game. And the D was miraculous....minus two Verrett plays once spoon went out. I sure hope we dont see more of Verret, he got a fail for this one

TV flashed a stat mid-game that no team with a -4 turnover has ever won. 49ers ended -3. Should have lost a fumble on the last play instead of a kneel down.

It was unbelievable how we were giving the ball away. Seemed like everytime we got inside the twenty, another turnover.

Yeah first half was rough. Not sure if the gameplan was a bit too ambitious or what. Garoppolo didn't look sharp, even before the hits came. But, Shanahan hit his stride in the second half.
I think PIT was also fairly conservative on offense. Didn't take too many shots downfield and O'Connor fumbled away their last chance.
