More reason to focus on Hunter if these are the prices for these FA edge rushers.

See this bugs me. 7.5m for a decent pass rusher who wakes up in december. We can live with that. But we got locked out in the rain and snow. This offseason could be over already. No. More drama. At some point we need to get all the guys under the tent and plan. We're still moving puzzle pieces around.

More reason to focus on Hunter if these are the prices for these FA edge rushers.

Technically, Florida is a different country so Bosa does need a visa to play here.

With the Eagles as still the team to beat in NFC conference, the 49ers should go all out in assembling the best possible roster and with that being said, go get Hunter from Minnesota.

Wasn't aware of the surgery. History lesson: the year before we signed Dee Ford to our disasterous deal, he played the most snaps in his career, 1022. So we cant go through that again. We have to structure any long term deal with some reasonable protections for any back or neck related stuff. Are we allowed to buy an insurance policy? Probably not since no one does it. And we have to sign Bosa first. He' comes first. Another reason to get it done.

Really like Hunter - a lot of injuries though.

I wouldn't give Clark $7.5M, that's way too pricy IMO, now $4.5M with not so easy to reach incentives ok, but I'm not gonna give someone that much, plus the 49ers don't have that kind of cap room to devout to one player, not when the opening day roster, pre Bosa extension, would leave us between $4M-$6M under when all 70 players count(53 man & 17 man PS).

What do you think of the idea of hedging neck or back injury risk with a 3rd party insurance policy of some kind. Is that even legal? Does it make any monetary sense? We can't have another tragedy like ford.

You know what, I think trading for Hunter should be given a lot of thoughts and discussion before going for it especially if he is after a big contract or extension. Most of you are right when you made example of Dre Ford's disastrous acquisition. So far Drake Jackson seems to be not an injury prone guy so let's see what we got from him first.
