do you think top10 players completely healthy grow on trees or go frequently to FA?

when healthy Greenlaw was a top10 player,... formed the best LB pairing with Warner for a couple of seasons,....he had a very grave injury but 2 years from now,.... signing him in a prove-it deal for 1 year-7,5M (we don't know yet the GTDs but very probably in those 7,5M there are some heavy incentives) is very smart IMO

Huge reward-low risk

How he's able to react fast, is blocked by both the TE AND the pulling RT and yet holds his own and doesnt get washed out on the play. In fact, he even is able to kinda push the RT back and then combine on the tackle of the runner.

This is the type of plays against the run that have been missing from our LBs not named Fred. It's hard to bully him in the run game.

I don't even think Fred makes those types of plays at 3:52. Nice find.
Most 1-year deals are low risk by their very nature, this one included. When he's in top form he's worth every penny. If he doesn't play you at least made the effort for relatively low cost.

I don't see a downside here.

There isn't one, even though some people will try to find it.

Even if he can split time with Martin, and Martin has a great off season - that's a win. We desperately need good LB play and last year wasn't it. We had a lot of problems last year and LB was one of them.

I think Martin can be a stud. So him playing alongside Warner and Dre, that could be a badass trio.

Exactly how I feel. lol I'm optimistic he can play a majority of the year but I consider Dre a 49er. Loved watching him get drafted and grow here. It just feels right with him and Warner here.

As long as he's healthy for our game on week 22, im happy.

If he hadn't gotten hurt running onto the field in Vegas, we beat the Chiefs and this regime has a ring.

Everyone knows it. Even Chiefs fans who refuse to admit it out loud know it.

No question in my mind brother!! Sickening

But man what a great sight to see; Fred and Dre

If only my boy Huff (the real Huff) came back with him 😭

probably the only downside I could think of would be an older injured player taking snaps from younger guys, but its not like our LB room is crazy loaded. Fred, couple of career backup STs (Wallow, Gifford), a 7th round pick that has probably hit his ceiling (Winters) and a project, overdrafted guy in Martin who still needs to learn how to play the position he's so raw.

imo this signing is already low risk high reward and worth it just off the locker room vibes. Dre has always brought heart and intensity from day one. he manages to play 8-9 games, its more than worth it.
