Agreed, DL did them no favors. LBs also did not hold up their end of the bargain. A few nice plays here and there but too often out of place in the pass game, bad angles in the run game.

coverage yeah.. it was bad, but they were pretty much rookies in playing time. they also made plays as most of our wins was the defense bending but not breaking.

Hopefully we don't need to see them play with this new DL, but if we do.. i think they will do better

Pretty much says all you need to know about Nick Martin. If Lynch is truly in charge of the draft and I not sure he is then his days should be numbered. Most of this teams problems is the result of piss poor draft after piss poor draft.
It doesn't say anything, plus Dre is 49er draft pick

yeah, I agree. I think it's likely Dre misses time this year (hopefully not) but I think Warner - Dre - Martin is an awesome trio that compliments each other well.

Martin is a young player who's been injured, idk why people are giving up on him. Dude has awesome talent. just need him healthy so he can string together a solid off season and hit the ground running in camp.

Martin plays a lot like dre, IMO. So it's a great chance for martin to learn from warner and dre, while playing along side them. Very exciting Trio, IMO. Dre was good last year when healthy,
We got Dre back? Nice! Dre all day baby!
So its obviously just one play off the few highlights last year, but watch the rep at 3:52

How he's able to react fast, is blocked by both the TE AND the pulling RT and yet holds his own and doesnt get washed out on the play. In fact, he even is able to kinda push the RT back and then combine on the tackle of the runner.

This is the type of plays against the run that have been missing from our LBs not named Fred. It's hard to bully him in the run game.
Dre is going to stop the run. The question I have is can he still cover??? If we get 15 games out of him it's a win. LB depth is starting to look pretty good. I'm not worried about Martin physically. Physically he's a beast but does he have it between the ears. Didn't seem like it last year. Kinda reminded me of Tank Carradine. When Tank got healthy he never played. Didn't get the scheme. Hopefully Martin develops mentally and can step in when Dre inevitably gets dinged up. Winters was meh. Coverage is an issue I can't look past. Especially in today's game.

Injuries are a concern so what do we do…? We bring back a guy who spends more time on the IR than on the field.. smart? Not really.

What's interesting about the Dre, Evans, and Hobbs signings are that they there all talented dudes who had down years last year because of injuries, primarily.

dudes are ready to come in here and prove something - which can be a great recipe for success (as well as failure). It's just kinda fun to get high character and talented guys who are here to show they can still play at a lvl of dominance.

💯
Dre Greenlaw being a 49ers just feels right. Dudes a 49er and I'm glad he's back home with the boys.
Welcome back Dre! *high fives* oh no, Greenlaw seems to have suffered a shoulder injury, out for 6 games.

I dunno man, Martin was in concussion protocol half the year, I'm more worried about that.
