I was one of um. I still don't think there's ever a good reason to spend a pick higher than a 7th rounder on a punter, but he's been damn good

I hate anyone lecturing me but to help with nuance of Mitch's background:-
There are 4 main football codes played in the great south land downunder in order of popularity
1. AFL or Aussie Rules (Mitch played in minor league in Western Australia)
2. Rugby League - a Pro spinoff from Amateur Rugby in 1908 and fans hate it being called Rugby. Mitch could have played this game but not played much in WA.
3. Rugby Union - most Americans know this one because it is played in college in USA. Huge following in Aus on a national level. No for Mitch but possible a good fly half.
4. Soccer - most played game but the sport keeps shooting itself in the foot. Mitch could have played but he looks like he wanted to play the cool kids game in WA.
5. Gridiron - growing but not enough population to get serious. Through Pro Kick (ex NFL player run camps) he got his ticket to the college version in Utah.

But I personally think Mitch prefers to just go surfing. At least he is is California for that.
