In a post shared by the official "NFL UK & Ireland" social media account, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel recently hinted at something noteworthy on the horizon.

"Big news coming," Samuel said in the post.

Of course, this has sparked speculation, with some wondering if the star player might be hinting at a potential return to international play for the 49ers, given that the international social media account was used to share the video.

While the 49ers secured a victory against the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City in 2022, their last game in London dates back to 2013, a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. In addition to that 2013 victory, the 49ers beat the Denver Broncos at the same venue in 2010.

The release of the 2024 NFL schedule is anticipated soon. However, it's already known that the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and Jacksonville Jaguars will host international games in London. The Vikings are the only team the 49ers are scheduled to face on the road. Minnesota will host its game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 49ers' most recent game against the Vikings was last season, and they lost 22-17 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Or perhaps the "big news" is something unrelated. We'll have to wait and see.

Samuel recently visited the McLaren Formula One team and met driver Lando Norris. Norris races under the British flag and won this past weekend's Miami F1 Grand Prix.

49ers' Kyle Shanahan, Deebo Samuel share perspectives on Brandon Aiyuk situation

By David Bonilla

Deebo Samuel understands what his San Francisco 49ers teammate, Brandon Aiyuk, is going through. Just a couple of years ago, Samuel, now sporting a slimmer No. 1 jersey on the practice field, was in a similar situation. Samuel and the 49ers eventually reached a contract extension agreement. Samuel can only offer advice to Aiyuk as last year's leading receiver awaits his own deal, which will likely position him among the NFL's highest-paid wideouts. Samuel acknowledged that he remains in close contact with Aiyuk and provides as much advice as possible. "I know this is a stressful time and he's done a tremendous job throughout his career here," Samuel told reporters today. "And when it comes to things like this, it gets tough, and some things you kind

49ers Notebook: Deebo Samuel talks trade rumors; Injury updates; Where is Trent Williams?

The San Francisco 49ers kicked off the first of two mandatory minicamp practices this week. Some players, like wide receiver Deebo Samuel, are happy to get back on the field and put some of the offseason drama behind them. Before and during the 2024 NFL Draft, Samuel's name was often linked to trade rumors. The 49ers are trying to sign Brandon Aiyuk to a long-term deal that will make him among the highest-paid receivers in the league. It makes sense that the 49ers might think twice about paying two wideouts top-tier money. Albert Breer: A team could still pry Deebo Samuel from the 49ers

By David Bonilla
Jun 6

Never say never. It appears the San Francisco 49ers will enter the 2024 season with both Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel on the roster, assuming contract negotiations with Aiyuk proceed smoothly. Neither wide receiver was traded before or during the draft, making it unlikely either will be dealt before the season. However, in the unpredictable world of the NFL, nothing is certain. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated believes there's still a scenario where a team could pry Samuel from San Francisco's grip. Breer argues that the 49ers have been dealing with a bottleneck of contracts, having handed out large deals to tight end George Kittle, linebacker Fred Warner, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, and defensive end Nick Bosa. This year, they signed Christian McCaffrey to a
