It's football to me. When I played(I sucked) this would be considered a good hit. I understand the change in rules but putting someone on their back has been taught since little league.

Unfortunate play. Bosa didn't go for the helmet. You hate to see those kind of plays where a guy doesn't have a chance to brace and defend them selves. But what can you do. How do you coach that? Lighten up on the delivery? Probably worth some thinking among coaches to come up with a protocol and spend some time in practice going over how to play it. Unnecessary roughness is the right way to handle it, to discourage blockers taking full advantage of opportunity.

When it's a turnover you have 22 guys on the field playing roles they never practice, offense -> defense, defense-> offense. Mistakes happen.

I don't think it was a dirty play. It looks like he puts his shoulder into his chest. It is technically a blind side block And the penalty was deserved. But I don't think there was bad intentions. Sherm was still running and he blocked the guy closest to him. Just unfortunate the guy got injured.
He puts the should in it, the top of the helmet doesn't look intentional.

It's no worse than the chipping he's been getting in every game. The out cry for this Bosa block is BS.

I understand changes or additions to rules for player safety. But it makes it tough for guys who are playing fast and reacting in the moment to be perfect. Bosa didn't have a reputation for dirty play before (that I know of) and certainly don't think he plays dirty. He shouldn't be considered as a guy who delivers cheap shots for this either.

It was awesome old school mentality. DL gets worked all game from different angles, chipped, doubled, cut, they are trying to evade the blow/blocks and now on an INT the roles are reversed and they get to deliver the blow. Sure, it was an act of frustration, back in the day that was just SOP for DL to go head hunting on a play like they as pay back. Back in the day it you didn't have your head on a swivel and you got clocked like O'Neil did then you get hurt, this is what happened. In today's game it is unfortunately a penalty, Bosa hit this dude square up in the front, if the dude had been paying attention he could have defended himself, oh well.

Let them whine, anyone rational can see it for what it is.

How many true cheap shots have we seen Bosa take this season with someone jamming him in his kidneys on a chip block?

Has he b***hed about that? Not once.

I didnt see it during the game. I thought it was gonna be way worse than that. That was just football. He didnt go for the head or try to hurt him. I understand its a penalty but that was nowhere near a cheap shot.
Was there ever a statement about what happened on that play where Bosa stayed down and it looked as though he got injured?

Was he really hurt, or just Clownin' ?

Wind knocked out of him was my guess. He did say he was trying to catch his breath and trainers told him to stay down for a few and just wait it out.
If you have 250# Dee Ford fall on top of you like that something has to give, this time it was his lungs. No worries.

Exactly, when on defense during a play and you heard " Bingo " which indicated a pass interception,we were coached to instantly find someone to block. It's a bang, bang play and you can see Bosa looking to go block someone else as soon as he comes off that first block....In no way do I see this as a dirty play or cheap shot....imo there is a big difference between a crack back block, ( which intentionally targets a particular player as part of the play design ) and a fast developing block that occurred like this one. Also, imo he could've hit him much harder.

Has anyone seen a snap count per player?

I know they didn't play a ton cause of how dominant they were but I'd like to see the rotation %s
