Ya, which was why I went to check out the date, he will be back in Week 5 against the Browns on October 7, 2 months from now which was what I said!!

Who said he was out until after the bye? I see no link regarding this.

It's an ankle sprain you can't determine something like that this early imo.

Myles Garnett had the same high ankle sprain (someone rolled over it) and was out a month.

It will take some time to catch up and get into game shape. This season is likely a throwaway for him at this point. He's just hurting. What a shame.

Joey Bosa missed the first quarter of his rookie season with an injury of his own. He still got 10.5 sacks.

I get that being a fan of this team hurts sometimes but a "throwaway season"? Come on dude.

Not comparable really. His was a hammy. This is a high ankle sprain, an injury that may or may not linger all season and at the very least could significantly hamper that important first step/push off that's essential for a pass rusher.

I'm not optimistic here. Hope I'm wrong but this is a big blow that people are trying to minimize.

Now we're back to the injury prone thing. I don't think that guys are injury prone. Some just have a run of bad luck and others get hurt more because they're always around the ball in the middle of players falling down.

I could totally dig this if we didn't have the "GREAT EQUALIZERS",...i.e.,...the Jerry Rices of the world that go 10 to 12 years plus grinding it out extremely physical without any major injuries until they're old and ready to retire.

Players that are very physical and never miss any games clearly point to other subhumans being more "injury prone" than them.

I'm not saying you have to like it. But reality it is.

When did the dad say he's coming back till after the bye week? Lol

He never mentioned him missing the first 3 games, he said thankfully its the most hopeful sprain you can get. That he should be good to go and felt he knocked off all the rust earlier in camp, I didnt hear anything suggesting its jump off a bridge serious. Im just highly heated he got hurt and isnt going to get more reps and for my enjoyment wont see him until week 1

Like I said, "Glassman 2" after Jimmie Ward.

Lol not a peep from ya in during TC when Bosa was killing it, not a peep from ya when he didn't holdout.

All of a sudden you're in here the day after a freak ankle roll to proclaim something.

Damn

Went from just a minor thing to just a precautionary MRI to just an ankle sprain to a just a high ankle sprain.

I wonder what they will reveal next.

is it to much to ask to shoot straight in the first place.

They should've just said he was dealing with a lower leg injury and they'll know more at a later date. There was no need to speculate.

it took them 5 seconds to tell us jasons sprain was minor. if you believe that. with this team. this regime. at times. i have no clue what to believe

And Dee Ford is out for at least a week after his knee jab and Jason Verrett is also out for an ankle sprain. Jerrick McKinnon's situation is unknown. Beginning to sound like last year? LOL.

This doesn't sound super optimistic about him being ready for week 1. We also have to consider that the training staff is likely going to take the side of caution.
