He was drafted higher than those guys, so we should expect more.

Give me something between Chubb-Kerrigan rookie #s and I'm good....all drafts aren't created equal and to say he's got to outperform so and so who was drafted 4 slots less is meh to me.

I just hope he stays healthy. I don't expect much out of rookies. That said, I think a lot of people are using his brother's rookie season to set their expectations for Nick's season.

I said this many pages ago, but rookie seasons for pass rushers are pretty random. Khalil Mack had four sacks his rookie season, while Von Miller had 11.5. Both are considered two of the three best edge rushers in the game today.

Staying healthy and showing pressure. Those should be the main priorities.

I expect him to be Aldon Smith 2.0

I with you health is always problem #1 in SF

I'm not really setting expectations, I mean I want him to be DROY don't get me wrong BUT if the pass rush improves overall in SF this yr I'll be happy

Tbh... I need him to have more sacks than Josh Allen. Can't do this thing again lol.

Kind of thinking the same thing. Were the others getting off at the same rate? It probably changes depending on the circumstances. That doesn't mean it isn't an area he could still work on either but as advanced as he is, I'm sure reading/anticipating the snap vs. the T has been discussed at the early stages of his development.

Put him as a 3rd down pass rusher - initially, and have Ford as the starter. That's how I'd start the season, with Bosa moving to the starter position by the end of the year, if he does well as a pass rusher. I think that's how Aldon was groomed.

This guy just never stops with his attacking Buckner, he's a Superstar, and wreaks havoc on defense. Plus we have Ford now, so.

Aldrunk was a special talent. Parys Haralson and Ahmad Brooks were good LBs that couldn't do what Aldrunk did with Justin. They really couldn't come close to Aldrunk.
