All signs points to him to start the season on PUP. I'm guessing we'll see a lot of 3-4 alignment this year so there hasn't been urgency at DE. Let's see if we end up keeping more backers than we have the past few seasons.

Umm no!!!

Right. I've heard more about 5 man fronts than 3 man fronts. We have no personnel to even attempt a 3 man front

If you put the outside LBs on the LoS, isn't that a 5 man front? Dugger was lined up a few times on the LoS in the preseason. We're really light on 4/3 D#s but have excess LBs.

Does anyone really think this guy will make it a full season ever again. Every single defensive play I half expect him to be limping off again. Hope I'm wrong, but I am a realist too.

Its not a question of IF he will get injured, but rather WHEN.

Of all the players I'm most concerned about Bosa. Four major injuries requiring extensive rehab going back to HS, college and now in the NFL. Those reahbs take a toll on you physically and mentally. Another major knee injury and he could be done.
Fwiw, Myles Garrett hasn't been practicing as well...

I have no doubt he will be back 100% by opening night. As will puka who will also avoid suspension

As nasty as Garrett is we might have the best OT duo in the league outside of the Eagles. We are going to need an extra blocker designated to him whether that a HB or TE

Indeed. I'm more concerned that they acknowledged Bosas status for week 1 was in question .

It usually takes a player two full seasons following a major knee surgery before he's really comfortable with testing it in the all out battle of a real game. Provided Bosa does play, I would not expect much out of him. Not until the middle of the season at least.

What?

Bosa tore his acl in 2020, and in 2021 not only was he a monster in week 1, he ended the season with 15.5 sacks. So what you said isn't true across the board (about bosa or any other players)

My statement is based upon what I have read from former players who have gone through these procedures. No, I do not have any links for you. Bottom line? We shall see. I dearly hope Bosa is better and in game day shape. We shall see.

Bosa to everyone lol....
