I've seen a few different numbers but I think you are right at 50.

I believe his contract could be reworked though this would only kick it down the road. I just wonder how he will look after his third significant knee injury.

It's next year when things get tricky and his cap hit is well over $50 million, yikes!

That's got to be part of the reason we're not spending the cap space we have this year. Need to roll as much as possible into next year.

His contract likely wouldn't be an issue in a trade since his next team wouldn't do the deal without knowing they could extend him & rework his deal.

Trading Nick would be an admission our window's closing or closed. The Browns got younger plus picks. The Rams got Garrett. Only one of the them is in win now mode. Same can be said for the Crosby deal before it fell through. What you don't see is aging teams dealing stars when they have a chance to win a SB imo.

We're aging out. Trent, George, Juice, CMC, Evans etc could all either leave the team or suffer massive drop offs around the same time. That's when Nick could get traded, if it were to happen at all. The transition will probably feel similar to the year we lost Cowboy, Willis, etc and it basically felt like we dismantled the whole team over night.

If the answer is yes, I don't think most people care about his personal life or belief system. Now if he cannot do those things, everyone will use his personal life/belief system against him. He is a big boy and put himself in this situation similar to B.A.

No, no, you don't understand. You are the one calling folks' morals into question because of their ability and willingness to separate "art from artist."
