I wonder how Nick will look after the knee injury?
Chances are he could drop off significantly. But, who knows?
I hope not but there is a possibility
With our luck, he'll be Cassius Marsh at best from now on.
LOL

This is his third ACL Recovery. didn't he come back and become DPOY after his first in the pros? I think he will be fine. At this point, he probably feels more comfortable with a torn ACL than healthy knee.

We won't know until he get's back in the lineup. Every surgery takes a little more out of you.
This will be unpopular but Nick Bosa has had only 1 great year with us. The year he won dpoy he was a game wrecker. But he's been good to average every other year. He seems undersized at times and is more effort than strong force.
i'm not saying he's horrible. But I do feel he is greatly overpaid and over hyped. Hes like a 2nd tier DE in the nfl. With the first tiers being guys like Garrett and Watt
.

Garrett is in a tier by himself. Watt and Bosa are in the same tier. One is a penetrating pass rusher and Bosa is a collapse the pocket kinda pass rusher. I'm guessing it's coaching and a defensive philosophy difference. One thing that's for sure is Nick elevates our pass rush to being decent and when he's out it's a joke.

Tore it in 2015, tore it in 2020, tore it in 2025....won't tear it again till 2030. I'm good with that.
Having said that, Bosa is still a top 5 edge rusher in my books until I see a talent drop-off. He's not Myles Garrett, who is this generations best pass rusher.....maybe a top 10 type pass rusher all time.....but he is a massive difference maker.

Few years older now, hopefully he's still a force.

I think this sounds about right. My only problem with Bosa was his last contract negotiation where he held out unitl a couple of days prior to the regular season and then cam back not quite the guy he was paid to be. He was still top tier but not DPOY level and he admitted he had to play himself into shape. For whatever we paid him, we should have gotten that deal done prior to day 1 of TC. That is not all his fault but he played a part in wanting a significant bump up over Aaron Donald who was a first ballot HOF Super Bowl winner

He admitted it sucked to miss camp, but tbh most other teams have no issues getting their stars signed. I see this is a Paraag/Jed issue. They like to squeeze it to the last minute.

For that kind of money he should have shown up in shape.

It has nothing to do with Jed/Paraag. There's no team in the NFL that wants to wait until opening day to resign their player, and have them miss all offsseason time. It's always the agent/player.

So some clown talking head saying how he's the most overpaid star of the 49ers. Yeah it's kind of hard not to be dumbass when he blew his knee out in the 3rd game of the season you're really going out on a limb there idiot.
