Not considering him avg but he's not lived up to his end of the massive contract they signed. He's going to be 29 next season and his production has dropped while the money he's getting paid is going up. It's also his 3rd major ACL injury in his career. His Cap hit in 2027 is currently $52 million dollars...so yes I believe he's got to prove in 26' that he's worth that money or the 49ers need to decide if they should move on from a bad deal.

It'll definitely sucks, but he's not going anywhere. He's a top 3 DE when healthy, it's just those two ACLs which there isn't really anything he can do about. Outside of those he's only missed 3 games

He's missed a total of 34 games in 7 seasons. If his name was Pearsall he'd be called injury prone.

I doubt it. I just don't see him fitting in what Morris likes on his defenses. And from what I've seen it's more speed rushers.
Wonder what we could get for him in a trade?

An elite pass rusher without a history of getting injured.

Tough decisions but the injuries with Bosa (and other aging players) are only going to become more frequent. It's not crazy to think his best years are behind him, sucks for everyone but he still has value. Hate to lose him, but I'd hate it more if he has another sub par season and ends up injured again.

Zero chance he gets moved strictly based on his contract.

Yeah the 49ers end up losing over $10M in cap room if they trade him pre June 1.

Without the contract issue, would you trade him straight up for Max Crosby?

Without the contract issues I would probably prefer Crosby but it's close. They're about the same age and production is similar. Bosa's history of knee injuries would be the reason I would take Crosby.

Ya but if you ignore multiple catastrophic injuries….. he's pretty sturdy

Yea that's right. He never misses time. Period. Its the acls. Both injuries coming early season. Otherwise he's out there.

He needs to lose 5 7 pounds and start being a terror in open space again. I don't really care that he can stuff tight ends into a dixie cup. It doesn't seem to help the wide 9 as much as it should.

He's blown out his knees 3 times already and he's not even 30. At some point you have to conclude it's maybe a medical issue.

28 of those games were in two seasons alone. So bine missed games in the other five?

It isnt the greatest track record but its not like he's Jonas Jennings or something.

Who is qualified to make that call? The I only time I go that far with a player is if they constantly re-injure themselves after returning from injury - a la Jason Verrett.
