From 2021-2024 he missed 4 games out of 77, including playing in all 9 playoff games. The only game he missed in the 3 playoff seasons of 2021-2023 was Week 6 in 2022 in Atlanta, hardly a "pivotal" game.

His snap counts for the last four seasons are:

976 (20 games)
899 (19 games)
1022 (20 games)
693 (14 games)

"Wh@T A slacKeR!"

My point is that he has started to miss big games starting last season. I think you look at the crystal ball and move on from him now just like we did with Greenlaw which is currently looking like a brilliant move by the 49ers and a bummer for the Broncos.

Yeah this team is not in position to trade a first or second round pick for a guy looking for a huge deal. Never going to happen. We're not a team who can throw away top tier draft capital anymore.

You're right, that 2nd round pick could be anything! It could even be a Drake Jackson or an Alfred Collins or an Aaron Banks! You know how excited we've been to have one of those!

(Look, I understand the value of draft picks, and I agree that we HAVE to keep our 1st and draft Trent's replacement with it. But let's not act like trading one 2nd destroys our whole plan. The 2nd round has arguably been the worst round for this regime. Only Deebo was a good pick and we just traded him for peanuts because he asked us politely, apparently)

Trade 2026 2nd round pick for Trey Hendrickson. Use Bosa's injury settlement to pay Hendrickson.

Win Super Bowl.

In March, trade Mac Jones to QB-desperate team for 2026 2nd round pick.

Collect 2027 3rd round pick when Hendrickson walks.

We go from having a 2026 2nd to having a 2026 2nd and extra 2027 3rd, and a Super Bowl win.

It's basic science. I should be GM.

Ya zero chance Trey gets traded for a 2nd. Plenty of teams will give up way more than that.
This isn't Madden. You don't just add Trey Hendrickson when your best pass rusher goes down. Because you want to.

I don't see how it's going to be way more than that. The price a couple of months ago was a 1st and a young player. He turns 31 in December and will be looking for a massive deal in '26.

I agree. A couple months ago, he was more more valuable to them as they had SB aspirations. Now? Now they'll lose him for a comp pick if they can't trade him. He's a one year rental, so hard to imagine he'll net some giant trade package. I think a 2 and 3 gets it done.

Not sure we can afford to lose a 2 and 3 just for a one year rental. We are going to need those picks. I say just let the young guys play and let the cards fall where they may.
We all know Hendrickson is a pipe dream. To entertain it otherwise is mere fantasy

I find it best not to stress too much between games about stuff like this. Just let the cards fall where they may. I have enough to stress out about during the games.

The 2021 Rams thought exactly the opposite of you (Von Miller trade) and they won a damn Super Bowl.

I'm tired of this "we need to hoard our picks" mentality. Other teams blow them and then win Super Bowls. I'm done with almost winning Super Bowls. It's time to put our nuts on the table and actually win it.

That's why this season has been so exhausting already. Had to watch three nail biters and then we've got this injury crap during the week. Probably been more drama for us this month than most teams get in a full season and September isn't even over.

It's not a pipedream. Teams weren't tripping over themselves for a trade before his 1-year deal and they certainly aren't now.

I'm not advocating for him as I'd prefer someone a tier down, younger and not a 4 month rental. That said, he's completely feasible. The deadline isn't tomorrow; SL have time to evaluate their options and, in turn, be in a position of strength.

The Rams also didn't have half of their roster injured in 2021. Our starting QB is averaging an injury almost every 3 starts. With that kind of durability, it doesn't make sense to go all-in on any season.
