People are acting like the season is over lol. The team only gave up 15 points after he left and still won the game. The defense is why we won the game. Of course he'll be missed, but this season is far from over and who knows what Lynch can do via trade. He's definitely pulled off some good ones in the middle of seasons that have helped us tremendously.

I have some faith in Saleh. Just dont trade picks for a rental.

People are acting like the season is over because your #1 edge rusher is considered the 2nd or 3rd most important player by about 99% of football fans. The season will continue and we might still be able to make noise, but the odds of us winning four playoff games in a row without our 2nd most important player is VERY slim.
It's why I considered the 2020 season over the moment he got carted off. The only way we win the Super Bowl this season is if we trade for someone like Trey Hendrickson. Huff (who got rejected by his previous team) and a bunch of college kids just aren't going to win a Super Bowl, it's just not realistically possible. Would be a bigger miracle than the Eagles winning three playoff games in a row with Nick Foles.

Hate to break it to you, but that's the only way we have a shot at the Super Bowl this season.
I get it. It's a hard decision and thankfully I don't need to make it. And the team doesn't need to make it until November 3rd. But if we trade a 2nd for Trey Hendrickson on November 3rd, I wouldn't blame Lynch or Kyle one bit.

Yes we don't have a Bosa right now but there are at least 15 other teams that don't as well but we do still have a Fred Warner which no other team has and we have a Saleh. I still think we can have a top ten defense. Now the key is can we pair that with a top five offense and if so I say we may still have something
In the same vein our youth and depth will now get in a full season of reps and we also get a more thorough evaluation. We still have a lot to look forward to on Sundays Mondays and Thursdays

He missed a total of 3 of 77 games in 2021-2024 (including playoffs). The ACL injuries in 2020 and this year suck but people seem to think he misses 10 games every year or something.

Nick's importance to the defense cannot be understated his presence alone frees up others, and I don't think we should trade for a rental either. imo this team did not have a realistic chance to win the championship even with nick. We will need all of our picks to replace Trent and possibly nick for the future.

No but seriously this guy sucked ever since he signed the extension. What a bust and horrible signing. Please move on
Love the change of tone

It's a clean tear, according to KS, if he gets a prompt surgery, what is the likelihood we get him back for the post-season? Anyone?

WAHOO! Turn adversity into success and take the ring home from Santa Clara! We need homefield in the Super Bowl to get over the hump!
So the Bengals will get a 3rd round comp just if Trey leaves in Free Agency soo they would only net a 4th round pick for last years sack leader. Cool well back to reality
To be fair, a 2026 regular 3rd rounder is objectively more valuable than a 2027 comp 3rd rounder. But I do agree it'll take at least a 2nd to get Trey Hendrickson. Rams paid a 2nd AND 3rd for a Von Miller rental, but they also had to pay him pennies (<$0.8M). Bosa's injury apparently saves us $7M next season so maybe we can agree to pay that much to Hendrickson and the Bengals will take just a 2nd?

Yeah this is not the Lions Adrian Hutchinson situation, which was a bone fracture injury.

No, it puts it at none. January is only 4 months away, not 6. And there's no way the team holds one of its IR returns for a guy who tore his ACL.
We'll see him in practice next summer at best.

His first ACL he was crushed by a 350+ lb OLman as his foot stuck in the turf. That's an ACL injury for anyone.
This one he landed awkwardly. Different circumstances but either way ACL injuries aren't what makes someone made of glass. The guy plays in the trenches and is constantly taking chips, doubles and the biggest guys in the game falling all over him. That's not even getting into the whole guy behind his computer calling an NFL player someone who is made of glass or the fact that seeing one of our top players have a season ending injury and running in here to claim he's made of glass just being a lame move.
