Yes, a sprain is just a partial tear.

Thur nite showdown vs the Rams looking kinda janky now but we've been winning games with our B team all year so why stop now?

I believe a Grade 1 ACL is stretched, Grade 2 is a partially torn but still intact, but damaged ACL, and grade 3 is a complete tear. Hoping it is grade 1.

You can partially tear it. The on field test basically tries to rule out a complete tear.
