What makes you think there was a deal in place after Trey was traded?

The organization looks lame right now with Trey Lance being traded for a fourth round considering what we traded to get him and now Bosa's contract being drawn out. There's probably more behind the scenes that we'll never know but it makes for unwanted drama for a team supposedly ready to win a championship now. A couple of months from now and if we're winning all this will be in the rear view mirror but if we're losing…this place isn't going to go o nuts. Either way I can't wait to get this going. Sunday can't come soon enough!

If that is the case why have great interior guys like C Jones and Armstead struggle when they were moved to the edge? Because DE is a tougher position to play and a more important position. Unless you are prime Aaron Donald. There is a reason why DE's go top 5 in the draft and not DT's.

Won't argue that, but you're only seeing first layer of onion. Drafting edge -smart…Paying an edge rusher at max market -isn't best ROI. A good qb will tell you interior rush is biggest disruption. turns out they command less $$ then edge too.
