I'm sure this has been already mentioned, and that most of you already knew it considering how savvy, well read and informed everyone here is, but just a reminder to hopefully easy some worries, TJ Watt signed his mega deal on Sept 9th two years ago, 3 days before their opening game against the Bills, and it wasn't announced until Friday. I'm expecting a similar occurrence with NB. TJ had two sacks and the Steelers won.

If I don't wake up to a deal this is another black eye for this regime. It's pretty outrageous their best player isn't settled and playing week 1. Obviously we have no idea what the issue is, but a lot of ex nfl'ers seem to think it's the FO and they've all been through this process at some point in their own careers.

Exactly. I keep telling everyone the same thing. I know TJ was at the Steelers facility the whole time but I believe he didn't practice either

Yeah honestly missing even one game over this is indefensible and not something I am going to forgive/forget, even if he signs before week two. If he's not signed within the next 17 hours I'm officially on the "this was an extremely disastrous offseason, fire Lynch" train.

Even if he doesn't play this weekend they need to have him signed by then so this cloud is not hanging over everybody's head. Because atleast they will know he will be there for week 2. But if he is not signed by Sunday, Week 2 also becomes in jeapardy.

Firing Lynch for a player holdout seems excessive. Lynch has put together a great team and has us competing for Superbowls. Bosa's deal will get done. But calling for lynch's job if he misses one game is bonkers to me.

Paraag supersedes Lynch. This deal is now down to Paraag and Bosa's agent. Lynch has nothing to do with this. Lynch has added the talent we need to get us over the top and now it is on the players and the coaches

There is not a single legitimate reason for our DPOY to miss any games over a contract dispute. None. They knew this extension was coming for years. They knew what numbers they had for negotiations for 8 months now. They have had no problem forking over big money to many different players, including Arm-freaking-stead of all people, and after the Trey Lance trade they are paying the QB position peanuts.
I could understand negotiations taking awhile. I get it. But if Bosa misses any meaningful games over this and hurts the team in the process, then that is a massive, massive failure on our front office.
