I'm telling you it's like Terrell Owens all over again only far nuttier and arguably worse.
I don't have all the answers as no one does but if it's what it seems than Deebo is trending toward being a dirtbag person with all these antics. Not saying he is one at this point, just saying he's seemingly going down that road and seemingly doing dirtbag things.
Almost feel sorry for him because one can be a great player/athlete or one can be a great person. Or, one can be both. But he's going to be a NFL player regardless for a very short period of time. If he played as long as Brady that's absurdly rare and pretty much a non possibility because he relies on his athleticism more. Plus, his physical style guarantees that won't happen. But that's still both a minority of each and every year and a minority of his natural life. Who he is is a person is going to be more important than who he is as a player. And right now he's going to have a hard time getting many first downs as a person with the way he's acting.
But as it is, we don't need him as he is right now. Imo. And he's obviously a great player.
And I'm telling you, you're out of your mind. Deebo is partying because Deebo is NOT the orchestrator of all this. Deebo PAYS SOMEONE to orchestrate all this, to create leverage, to get him paid. He then lives his life while THE MAN HE PAID to pressure the 49ers to maximize his value does his job.
Comparing a guy trying to take care of his family with his best shot he will ever have to TO throwing tantrums and undermining the locker room is ludicrous. This is Deebo's agent doing his job: trying to get his client as much money as possible while he is still valuable.
And again, I care far more about people than I do the 49ers even. Everything we do, we'll all stand before God one day. And I'm obviously not saying Deebo is going to hell and I'm not the one in any place to send him there. And heck, we all make mistakes and we all fall short. But again, you can be a first class athlete or you can be a first class person, or try to be. Both in the way you act in life and in the way you act in business in "trying to care of your family and get paid." He's also setting an example or will be setting an example as a father of how to act, whether to do so with integrity or not.
And while it's okay to disagree, since people want to argue and take personal shots, I've said my piece and I'm out. Totally out.
Trying to maximize your pay day is not being a bad person. It's no worse than you trying to minimize your taxes owed or voting for people that promise to do so. That doesn't make you a bad person, and neither does Deebo trying to maximize his value.
