Like I said to all the doubters, even if his YAC is diminishing, he is STILL the best in the league. I believe last year he was 7th, on an injured Washington team without Daniels and teams could focus on him and scary Terry.

He definitely looks better than he has the past few years, but he's still not a good route runner or high effort player when he doesn't have the ball. I appreciate they're getting him more involved in the screen/running plays because that's where he excels. Get the ball in his hands fast and use him as a wideback and he's absolutely electric. If Evans and Kittle were out for a game I just don't see Deebo stepping up and coming close to filling in for either of them. He's just more a Jauan Jennings #3 guy as a receiver now, but I do love how they're using him.
true but he's a great outlet against great pass rushing teams like the Broncos and Seattle and the Rams which he has proven to OWN all 3. That is more valuable then route running in those games, especially since our OL isn't great in pass pro (although this year they are doing better, but a BIG factor is the short passing game and Purdy releasing the ball and his ability to extend plays).

That's what I mean. The way Deebo's being used is a perfect fit for our offense. If he can get 50-70 yards a game between screens and runs then that's amazing. He's just not a good wide receiver.

I really don't wanna see more Deebo runs. The league caught onto that after the first season and it wasn't nearly as effective. That being said, it is nice that he's back to snatching dem chains...

Just don't run him up the middle. He needs space to be effective.

i think some of those are burn plays. This was explained last year or the year before where they would give a certain look and run a play then would give the same look later in other plays but run a completely different play
interesting post

Ditto, I didn't expect much from him due to what he didn't do in Washington, but he's been an impact player again this year. Glad to have him back.

he was good in washington he was pretty much one of the better fantasy MVP late in year.

He had a solid season despite no one throwing him the ball

He's definitely a talent and asset to the 49ers. He's a Jauan Jennings kind of WR in my eyes. But he's also like a CMC and can do a lot of things CMC can do. He can't be pigeonholed into one role, that's for sure.

Hold onto the football Deebo and reach back to 2021 season! Need you to step up in this one.
I was wayyy wrong about us signing him.

He's being used very effectively and playing very tough.

Excellent pick-up.

Same, not that I didn't want him back, was just concerned about whether or not there was anything left in the tank. There most definitely is and with the injuries he's proving to be a brilliant signing.
I could never understand why people did not want him back. I get that he was out of shape and did not look himself in 2024 but to me he looked to be back in shape and looking like his old self physically in 2025. The commanders just didn't use him properly. Even with that he still went for 700 yards in a terrible offense.

The question is.. do we let him get away again next off-season?
I think we're only paying him 5 Mill?
If that's the case I would give him another 2 or 3 on top of that to sick around for another year or 2.

Him, Evans, Pearsall, Stribling and a mid-late round rookie.

I could see us bringing Jennings back on a team friendly deal.. Robinson is a UFA next year but I would love to have him back as our 5th-6th WR
I think the next stretch of games will see how valuable he is. Especially, with Juice out.
