That's what happens when you don't have football guys in the building. They think a punt is iconic.

How many teams web site staffers are "football guys?" This sounds like a screwup by some low level worker considering that The Catch II wasn't included either.

You can find staffers in the bay area who are football fans or can at least do basic research.
so much for honoring our past. say what you want to about ck. but this is terrible

Someone screwed up, they are fixing it. Not really as big of a deal as people are making it.

You HONESTLY think this was a "screw up"?

48 photos...and not one has him? A screw up?

That s**t was on purpose wtf? It's obvious it was on purpose...but some STILL can't bring themselves to believe (or admit) some shady s**t is happening to him.

Was it Lynch...was it Kyle... was it some Zoner who works for the FO...lol We don't know.

But let's not act like this was an accident.

Imo, I don't think it was Lynch, because I'm sure he wouldn't want this type of attention leading into our Monday Night game... especially when we look like s**t.

But at the same time, I don't put anything passed anyone.

lol you people are delusional. They clearly left Kap out on purpose. Nobody looks at that game and doesn't instantly highlight Kap's performance. It was a conscious decision.

It depends on who "they" is. If it is Jed, the fact he put up $1,000,000 for Kap's cause would indicate he would not have left him out on purpose.

If it was the people in the promo staff, . Lot of people get hired for specific jobs skill but don't know team history.

It was a mistake and is being corrected.

no, i mean what you wrote was grammatically incorrect. it's "should have" not "should of".

The playoff game where he broke the rushing record was nice but the game in the frozen tundra was better imo. All the talk leading up to that game was how no visiting team had ever won a playoff game in GB in decades, or whatever it was. Just one pic from that game in the slideshow. And no Catch II. It's obvious the people who put that slide show together don't know their Niner history.

seriously? interesting. I want to listen to that lol

Look for it on knbr.com Murph and Mac. They'll post it later. Just happened 45 min ago. Lynch praised kap for everything he did for the niners. And he said he didn't even know about the history of kap and packers and something like he's gonna find out how he got left off the list.

"Kaepernick's absence from the gallery oddly made headlines across the web on Friday morning. What is the 49ers' response to the omission of the former 49ers quarterback from the gallery? General manager John Lynch was asked about it during a Friday-morning KNBR interview.
"I just learned about it a couple of minutes ago," Lynch said on the "Murph & Mac" show.

not sure if that's what you were referring to but he meant he just learned of Kap being omitted. didnt see anything relating to him having 0 knowledge of that history.

Just listened again and yea he worded it weird. "Niner fans know about his contributions to the franchise, I just learned about it" . He did in fact mean he learned about the issue of leaving him out.

The rushing record game was his most iconic game in regards to him and him becoming a household name. It's the game that made "kaepernicking" famous.

The omission of Kaepernick was not the lone whiff in the gallery, which didn't actually focus on "top moments" in the series.
Most notably, the gallery also doesn't include a moment that is one of the most iconic plays in 49ers' history: Steve Young's touchdown pass to Terrell Owens - commonly known as The Catch II - that provided a 30-27 wild-card win over the Packers in January 1999.

Where is the fake outrage over this?

Thank you for what? Haha. That catch is in the gallery. They mistakenly wrote it down as a divisional round win. TO is pictured. Yea Steve wasn't mentioned in that sentence , but maybe because he was shouted out three other times:

It's obvious why he was left out. Let's be real.

Yes but that Playoff game at Lambeau Field was Much more impressive.

IMO his best performance of his career. Taking everything into consideration. Aaron was not letting up that game. Kept answering our scores.

Hell yeah. That pic where he took off his parka to show his sleeveless arms in the frigid cold. That's a dope picture.
