In all fairness punting is very symbolic of the York era 49ers. I can see why they included that Pinion photo.

That's what happens when you don't have football guys in the building. They think a punt is iconic.
How many teams web site staffers are "football guys?" This sounds like a screwup by some low level worker considering that The Catch II wasn't included either.
You can find staffers in the bay area who are football fans or can at least do basic research.
Not as cheap as you can find them offshore.
I am willing to bet that if you polled the players on the roster right now the majority of them wouldn't know the forty niner greats from yesteryear. Who is John Brodie? Hell, I bet many of the posters on this site don't know the Niner history. Tittle? Nunley? RC Owens? Hofer? St. Clair?

Do you not remember when they put Kap's jersey/merchandise on Clearance WHILE he was still on the team...? yet kept Gabbert and Jared Hayne, who was off the team by then, jerseys still at full price.
Again some in the organization obviously feel comfortable enough going out of their way to make a statement. It could be their individual thinking, or they feel the higher ups feel the same way or won't care, or they are told to do so.
It's like what happens on this forum sometimes.
You have some mods (who were regular posters before then) who go out of their way to criticize or make up something about Kaepernick...... then regular troll posters feel it's open season...and s**t up Kaepernick threads.

It's obvious why he was left out. Let's be real.
Not everything is a conspiracy. The 49ers are ultra liberal PC. Why would they intentionally do something that would probably get noticed and bring backlash?
Its amazing how often people forget that most of these type of errors are just because people suck at their jobs, not trying to send some kind of message.
You don't know me at all. I'm very very against silly conspiracies. This is just extremely obvious. No I don't think it was some elebaborate meeting with Lynch, York, Kyle and Goodell huddled up discussing how they're gonna leave kap out of a gallery where they're hyping up a meaningless game.
Whoever made the slide wanted to stay outta the kap thing and in turn is getting some backlash. It says a lot about the situation. People just don't want to be involved with him whether they support him or not.

Stores do this all the time. They get overstocked in something and rate of sale does not meet cash flow projections so the mark them down.
EDIT: Hadn't seen eastie's post when I wrote this. Same point.

This seems like a pointless thing to get offended over considering the things going on right now. OP needs a hobby.
That is not an appropriate comment.

When Kap ran over Green Bay for 180 yards that was one of the best games I've ever seen as a 9er fan, but I wish Favre was the QB we faced (hated that fool in GB). My favorite will always be the Steve Young led Super Bowl win vs. San Diego.....I remember my home town going crazy!!!

How dare they
Wouldn't be surprised. Kap doesn't seem to be very bright. Case in point, whining like a 4 year old about racism and oppression yet wears a Fidel Castro shirt to a news conference. Guy is a moron.
Kap not very bright lol.

No, it's the CK got left off GB thread. The CK thread is in the PL.
I'd argue what else that got off is still fair game.
