Anyone else hear the conference call reporters had with McCarthy Thursday morning? Oh boy, this is how it ended (let me preface this by saying I've noticed Eric Branch has been moving into Grant Cohn-type journalism territory for a little while now): so Branch who I think fancies himself a real funny sports writing guy asks MM "Do you find you're a more intelligent coach when Aaron Rodgers is healthy?" But you could tell it came out completely not how he meant it by the uncomfortable, awkward silence that followed. This is a podcast I'm listening to and the silent awkwardness with the other reporters was tangible through my phone speaker. A few seconds pass and Branch tries to rephrase it "I mean, are you a more intelligent coach with Rodgers healthy. At least from public perception?" Which still wasn't much better so too late. The moment had already passed with his foot firmly placed in mouth. McCarthy said something about he doesn't pay any attention to public perception then told reporters on the call to have a good day and hung up. Suffice it to say that was a pretty d-bag move by Branch. I'm sure he thought he was just trying to cleverly pose a question about what a lot of Packer fans have voiced for a while now that McCarthy is only a good coach because he has Aaron Rodgers. But when you're a media member representing the opponent that doesn't really go over too well.

That was pretty funny to me, but I'd want to beat his ass if he tried that on Shanny. Also, that ass wipe just killed what little chance we had of pulling an upset in GB. They're really going to murder us now

Yeah, MM is about to ensure public perception is firmly fixed on how crappy the 49ers are right now. He'll probably scheme the game of his life and drop 80 on us.

LOL yeah no doubt

On a real note tho, GB has legit injuries to be concerned about as well. I don't like our chances, but it would be nice if they can hang in there...at least till the 4th qtr. Nobody wants to watch b******t for 4 qtrs on MNF.

Can we like forfeit this game? Lol
One step closer to the first overall pick! WOOO

If we want to avoid 5 more injuries, we should.

No one is giving us much of a chance, but I read an article in here that we got a 12 game winning streak on MNF

Sportsbooks would love for us to win or lose by less than a FG. That would screw errryone's parlays, straight bets and teasers lol.
Like to see what kyle dials up vs his old coach pettine.

Can't see a win here, and I'm sure SF will look like s**t on the big screen ugh

I just can't expect them to look even respectable with the guys they're throwing out there. Is this one of the worst seasons as far as injuries go?

Yeah, I hope he gives Pettine a good game...I'm sure everyone watching would love a high scoring match (back n forth).

Yes and no (on injuries)....plenty of injuries but at least guys are coming back to play and not many going to IR
On the bright side. Refs are out to get Matthews. So we might be able to squeeze a few first downs and yardage when Matthews's inevitably gets to cj lmao
Niners win this game 28 17.

I'll officially let you know in March but we certainly have a chance to be well above 100 AGL this year...previous high was 98.8 (2014). The highest ever was Chicago in 2016 with 155.1 which is just

This is true. (# on I.R.)

2018 (9) --- 2017 (26) --- 2016 (22) --- 2015 (17) --- 2014 (21)

But there's still time. LOL

LOL I hope Staley owns his ass and LT pushes him around every chance he gets... imagine that plus the refs. He'll think everyone is out to get him then flip his wig and get kicked out of the game
