Although I had high hopes when the off-season started, I don't think we did enough to improve the team and just don't see the talent to make a legitimate playoff run. Plus, we have a tough schedule and are in a hard division.

If the line isn't improved from last year... this is about right.

I also have concerns about the talent gaps in positions (one of the LB's will be a liability, one of the DL's will be a liability, and one of the CB's will be a liability).

Add that this receiving core is... well interesting and same can be said for the RB's... There's a whole lot of question marks.

Jimmy's good enough to win us some games, but our defense is still in the bottom-half, so they will be the reason why we lose a few games. Teams with good/elite offenses will be able to score frequently, leading to a lot of shootouts. Easily could be 7-9, just depends on those factors. Tough overall schedule and crazy over-realistic hype from the media doesn't help either. People forget we are in year 2 of a rebuild.

Overall, it will be a big improvement from last season. We may win a few that we are supposed to win, we may even lose some that we shouldn't lose. Regardless, we will be on the outside looking in playoff-wise as the NFC West will be the weakest division in the NFC this year, only sending one team to the playoffs.

So you think we have the same record as last year considering we upgraded at:

Center
Guard, even though some will say we haven't
Tackle, McG is by far superior in the run and solid in pass
WR, Garcon coming back and adding Pettis
RB, some don't like McK but he fits the offense to a T
LB, Warner is a stud and Smith is at least healthy
DLine, Armstead and Julian are at least nice depth
DBs, Sherman >> Johnson and it isn't close

Add to those pieces we're getting a massive amount of this young roster another year in the same system. Jimmy getting another year to actually master this complex offense. Sorry, I just don't see the logic in a 6 win season.
