My Exact thought's.

Derrick Brooks' best year was 2002, his eighth year in the league. He turned 29 years old several years before that season started.

This is also Warner's eighth year in the league, he doesn't turn 29 until November.

Brooks was a two-time 1st team all pro prior to the 2002 season, and he was three-time 2nd team all pro (can't remember who was ahead of him those years).

Warner is a four-time 1st team all-pro. He probably deserved a 2nd team all-pro nod back in 2019.

Brooks was a great, great player, he had two more 1st team all pro years after 2002 at the ages of 31 and 32.

Warner has proven to be durable and his conduct on the field indicates that he gives a crap, so he likely takes exceptional care of himself. I'm hopeful that he also continues the all-pro years when he's in his early 30s. All things considered, I think he's the best draft pick of the Shanahan-Lynch regime.

Brooks is good comparison to Warner. Two LBs with no weakness but mental one of their biggest strengths as opposed to physical. Brooks was surrounded with Sapp & Lynch. And at FSU he was always on a star filled Defense.
