When was the last time we signed someone to an extension with 2 years left on their contract? I guess it's a unique scenario cause Warner's cap hits were huge his final two years, so a restructure makes sense and an extension does cause he's still in his prime.

I love all three big time extensions we've given out this off season and the timing of them, just excellent.

I think it was Patrick Willis

was it Willis or was it his side kick BOWMAN?

We've been spoiled. We got to watch Patrick Willis / Navarro Bowman and a few years later Fred Warner / Dre Greenlaw. I'd put our boys as best duos up against anybody in the history of the game

This struck a lil nerve with me.
So, quite some time ago, I went looking for real Journalism. Found some in some national papers, with near impeccable reputations. (I won't name the cities, but you can pretty much guess.)
They're out there!

Even the old stalwarts have fallen off. They are letting pure opinion or wishful thinking get reported as if it's fact.

I don't disagree with you Scoots.
I guess I was thinking more about human interest stories I have read lately that were almost totally engrossing to me. Extremely well written. Very moving as well. I was pretty much hanging on every word.
Now, I do like the Opinion pieces, but I know they're just that. Opinions.

PFF has Warner all by himself in his own tier.

he was league mvp or in that convo first month then he broke his stuff that's the only thing that slowed him down. you will see he added his FF punch to his game. he has 8 FF last two years, after only 7 his first 5 years. so he's at his apex, his absolute prime years.

Human interest stories don't sell all that well unfortunately. They used to be regulars on TV news but have been mostly removed now.

My issue with opinion in journalism isn't that they print opinion, it's that they print opinion as if it's fact. It used to only be in columnist pieces but now it's the majority of reporting includes opinion and bias in some way.

Not many LBs are so good their teams build their entire defensive scheme around their talents.
He is all by himself in his own tier. That's correct.

Tha'll be interesting... but only as ILBs .. we can't compare them to the likes of LT and Banks... Swilling and Jackson.. Haley and Turner.. .. Those are OLBs off the 3-4 scheme...

I mean that 2011/2012 with Aldon, Bowman, Willis and Brooks you might be able to put that up there with any unit. Of course there's the saints dome portal, monsters of the midway, and the steel curtain

Had Aldon not became ALDRUNK... and Brooks was undeservingly replaced by Lynch Slob... I say the set of Aldon - Willis - Bowman - Brooks would have been one of the ALL TIME BEST ..

Forgot about Aaron Lynch took me a second to realize who you were talking about remember thinking he was going to be a beast

This, and someone on X(Eagles fan) tried to say Zack Baun was better than Warner & has surpassed him based on 1 good year by Baun, yet Warner's been doing it consistently since 2018, 4 time All-Pro, numerous time Pro Bowler, best Off Ball LB in the league, could be Defensive Player of the Year candidate for 2025.

as usual, everyone did not take me seriously when I said that Lynch Slob should not be getting an instant starting position because he had a 5 good games... the kid's motor couldn't handle all 4 quarters while Brooks was just over shadowed by Aldrunk - Bowman and Willis... Brooks was always underrated IMO..
