Whatever light switched was turned with Ambry it's been impressive.

What happened at start of game with Oliver starting at safety? Was there some type of equipment issue for Gipson? Found it interesting that Oliver is first off the bench at S

Just hope we don't have to do it for too long. (heal fast Mr. Ward)

For 9ers4eva.
"There is some weakness in the secondary that shows up, and they can get beat," (Steve) Young admitted. "And it's been proven that way. I don't think either defense in the NFC (Packers, Lions) can be the bullies that could slow them down. You've got to be honest; it's pretty unlikely that the 49ers get beat."

This. It's not lights out legion if boom but you have borderline 2 pro bowlers at corner decent safeties and a decent 3rd corner.
I wonder if this is the wilks effect. Secondary is way better than last year but line up front vastly disappointing. Linebackers also great...
Credit where credit is due though. If wilks did have a positive impact it's been the secondary.
Lots of chatter saying it secondary sucks but in my opinion it's very good. No team is perfect.

I'm curious to see who gets more snaps between J. Brown and Logan Ryan at Safety this game.

He definitely has a positive impact on the secondary. No question and I hope we continue to give him some elite talent to work with. With that said, I like that has a more disicplined pass rush to contain mobile QBs, but more often than not, I prefer the all gas, no breaks style of getting after the QB. 1- Because we can. 2- Most QBs are not able to evade that type of relentless pressure. Perhaps he feels that doesn't work for his secondary. I'm curious to the reasons for the difference.

Rewatching the game I just noticed Ryan in the game. He missed the tackle on Jones in the 4th quarter that sprung him on that 50 yard run. Is Brown healthy ? I didn't hear anything about him.

Kyle said he didn't want to start a rookie that only had some practice the last four weeks
