2018 Team Information (Needs)

I don't see how they can trade out of that #2 spot and pass on a chance to get one of the better rated edge guys like Bosa or Allen. I think if last year proved anything its that getting someone who can come off the edge and get consistent pressure is their top need. Having someone like that will help every other position on the defense. My hope would be that they really concentrate on doing their research in this draft and come up with five solid guys that have a chance of contributing rather trade down to accumulate more picks. Since they have the cap space they could use FA to try and fill some of their other needs with guys who have a proven record in the league rather than take a flyer on some additional draft picks who may or may not end up being able to make the transition to the pros

With so many needs it's a shame we only have 5 picks plus one compensatory. At least we have a lot of cap money to spend.

Among all NFL teams, San Francisco has the third-highest amount of money rolling over, with a little over $35 million.

Only the Browns ($56.5 million) and the Colts ($49.1 million) will roll over more money than the 49ers.
