This FO is not looking so hot right now. It's not just the actual players chosen, but the number of players they passed up on and the number of picks they threw away moving up for them (who aren't contributing anything to this team).

That said, much of this can be overlooked with the finding of a FQB who plays like a FQB. Unfortunately, ours is still wildly inexperienced and coming off an ACL.

Need solid professional:
3 DBs (Sherm is a wonderful coach, but today showed his wheels are getting too many miles on them, plus the injury)
ER
LB. x 2, and by rights one SHOULD be ELITE.
OT to put in the pipeline.

That comes to 3 ELITES and 7 solid professionals

But that just gets us starters....and now we need solid backups at all listed positions also. We got lots of inside DTs. Hope we use them wisely in trades. So we need not just 10 guys but 20. Wow!

Needing 4 DBs overall is why we can stop nobody. Same goes for needing two LBs. Needing two DEs...is why we can't stop anybody. Needing a #1 WR uninjured plus no injury hx....Goodwin would fit here but the head dings plus # of games missed is just not a #1 WR. But with no #1 WR, it is no surprise our O can't get going either.

Having multiple decent inside DTs, should get us some trade material. Finally, OTC's list elsewhere of potential guys up for trade, was terrific. I sure hope that gets re-posted, and we do in fact use those guys for trading up.

Good article I agree with it for the most part, especially on the draft. They should try and fill FS, WLB during free agency for sure. I would disagree on richardson and instead try and focus resources on a sam LB who can rush off the edge a little bit. Anthony barr would be great there. Also in terms of Will id go all in on CJ Mosley instead or KJ. In terms of Earl I do wonder if he has his eyes definitively set on the Cowboys, and I wonder if he would consider us. If he does, thats going to be tough trying to compete with them, when you factor in no state income tax. Are there any other single high safeties on the market?

Yeah, even with those Seattle dudes plus Bennett, they were 13th in points allowed last year. 8th now without them all.

But with Kyle's offense, we only need to be average in points allowed to be very competitive.
