People need to quit acting like it's doom and gloom. And Marsh could surprise, sure he's been cut by 2 teams, but look at Day, cut by the Jags, cause he probably wasn't playing well, now look at him. trust the process, give them time.

if you traded him. you would have to eat part of his pay. of course you can thank lynch for that

1. It wasn't an extension, it was his 5th yr option, they thought he'd be a part of the team, and 2. we wouldn't eat his salary, just what he's already been paid in season, if traded now we'd save the $8.5M.

well sounds like he is questionable anyway so its a moot point. what a sweet gig. the man does nothing but earns a huge paycheck.

IMO, Gilliam, Tobin, Taylor, Lee, Mabin, James, and Wick I go with Blair over Taylor being active as Blair was on all preseason while Taylor only really flashed week 1.

AB, thanks for playing, man. Man, as of today, it doesn't sound like Garry Gilliam, Malcolm Smith or Jimmie Ward will be active. Therefore, the rest I'll guess as Jullian Taylor, Matt Tobin, Richie James & D.J. Jones.

Damn, I really wanted Jones and James to be active.

I think it might be Bourne that is inactive and James that is active. The latter is just a play-maker and the team is going to need all of the plays it can get in Minnesota. Also, James may be more effective on the turf there. Just my two cents.

Cheers!

That would certainly be one way to help with the McKinnon loss. Use Richie James out of the backfield for the passing game, screens, fly sweeps, etc. to stretch the defense that way. Swap James and Bourne on the (in)active list for week 1.

That would be lovely if James can take jet's receiving or be a threat for Shanny to do Shanny things.

James was a QB in HS so he could be a wild cat type back to help give the offense a bit of pizzazz.

That was exactly my thinking NC... Let's hope it happens... Nothing against Bourne but I think Richie can really help out this week with his speed and elusiveness...and as you stated, versatility. It's a lot to put on a rookie but this kid seems like he digs the big stage. He is going to be a factor this year. I hope the Niners give him a chance to show what he can do...

Cheers!

Nice job...why is the inactive list harder to predict than the 53? LOL

Hey AB....forgive me if you have addressed this question before but I'm curious....where do you the team has improved (or gotten worse) in their position groups from last year? If you could give us a very quick assessment perhaps rating the groups "very improved, improved, stayed the same, gotten a little worse, gotten a lot worse", that would be great. I know we aren't even into the regular season yet but what the hell... Cheers!
