And Marsh could surprise, sure he's been cut by 2 teams, but look at Day, cut by the Jags, cause he probably wasn't playing well, now look at him. trust the process, give them time.
Completely agree - trust the process & give it time to play out rather than jump to your own conclusions.

I wonder what Tevin Coleman would cost in a trade? ATL isn't gonna resign him and they just drafted Ito Smith

Of course. We heard the same thing during the Tomsula year. Trust the process, they know more than us, we are not qualified to second guess them.

I'm hoping they are still looking for a running back and edge rusher with all the cuts during the weekend. Not very hopeful though - they haven't made any strong moves to sign another edge rusher other than putting Pita on the practice squad.
Honestly, with the cuts, these are guys who likely won't be on NFL rosters, there really is not many options out there, maybe JAX and DEN want too much for Fowler and Ray. We don't know what's going out inside the facility, but to automatically call the season a failure cause they didn't get a ER, or they kept Ward is ridiculous.
And to cc, it's been 2 years, not even that, did you really expect them to fix the entire team in 2 yrs? c'mon, no one has ever done that, these flashy signing teams make hardly ever work out in year 1 or ever.

We can try and second guess them, but we're not NFL coaches or GMs, they are, they know how the NFL works and runs, we don't, a lot goes on behind the scenes, and for people to jump to conclusions is ridiculous.

Who cares
I figured after Cooper we'd go OL (Kyle likes carrying 10) and at least Exum is a real SS who knows the system.
I guess that's it...no RB or ER. Done. 53 is set.

Well, 20 months later and we have essentially turned over the roster, save Buckner, AA, and the K,, PK, and LS. There just isn't much more to change over. Sure, Ward, but...no need to say much more. AB was flat out spot on...we PAID the guy $8.5 mil. It would be stupid to flush that. Anything he contributes is a positive, even if he plays every 3rd game. Still it is something. And we can hope that he stays healthy and we get a yrs worth of service out of him. I don't care for him any more than the next guy, but AB's comments close the issue for discussion. NOw let's see what we can salvage from him.
NC, on another note, we both were intrigued by Williams (Darren) last yr, but he went backwards on us. Kind of surprising he was worse in his second yr than his first. Something strange must have happened. Whatever, he is adios, along with the rest of the OL tryouts, and why we kept Giliam(oh yeah, he is paid for the yr)...ouch. .. he turned out to be exactly what i thot when he was brot in...a bust. But we had to have somebody....guess an OL early before pick 45-50 or so could have helped out a bunch...but that is in the retrospectoscope.
Of course...there was Sitton to be had in FA, along with a very expensive OG. Oh well....let's play some football. No sniveling .

FO knew some of these guys weren't going to work out and cut risks with one year contracts. Cooper, JA. and there are guys working off the last year of their contract.
I do like that they are moving on from some guys when it doesn't look they will ever pan out. A Lynch is hurt again, trying to latch on with Fangio. Dial...whatever happened to him? AA and Ward are up next.

Kyle working hard to update that game plan by tomorrow.
Alfred Morris and Matt Breida are still unsure of how they'll be used in Week 1. Playing time split could vary week to week for #49ers.

IMO, Gilliam, Tobin, Taylor, Lee, Mabin, James, and Wick I go with Blair over Taylor being active as Blair was on all preseason while Taylor only really flashed week 1.
