Bro you posted a picture of the end zone and after the game. You can't be serious.
this post shows you have nothing to prove your statement of it being empty.

As someone earlier pointed out, the proof is in the MANY empty seats on that side of the stadium. People would rather stay home or watch it on TV from the inside areas than increase their chances of getting skin cancer.
The empty seats were because the team sucked more than anything. People in California will stay in their seats even if it's a bit hot if the team is fun to watch. It's really not more complicated than that. Before this past season there was no hurry to return to watch the game.
Seats were empty even during the Harbaugh years.
Why are people defending this stupid stadium?
also, jimmy G filled the last two games and people stayed in the seats. so there goes that theory lol

Not really comparing that all fans have to go through weather in all sports. Ours seems to be the only ones that can't handle mother nature.

The proof is there EVERY home game on TV for the world to see. Your argument is foolish. If you're fine with the heat and skin cancer, good for you. You're in the very small minority. That's the point most of us are trying to make. The few of you defending this design flaw, saying that people should "tough it out," aren't being realistic at all.

Again, show me the other brand new billion dollar stadiums that are having trouble keeping people in their seats.
(Hint: they don't exist)

i'm fine with the heat because hello it's an outdoor sporting event..and you prepare
Originally posted by captveg:also it gets windy in the morning/ evening due to the tides of the bay sometimes it's just windy. The shades could be a problem if it gets super windy
Adding an awning isn't as simple as people like to think. It's a large lower bowl, meaning the square feet of the awning would be significant. The place wasn't built to support one, which means whole new infrastructure would need to be implimented, which means tearing up parts of the supports on that side of the stadium. You can't put any support beams in front of any seats and block the view, because most people should be able to agree that seeing the game in heat is better than trying seeing the game through a pole in the shade. In short, this isn't just a financial issue, but a timing and practical one.
