He probably hurt it outside the facility. It was smart of him to come in and then pretend that he hurt it there. Otherwise he wouldn't get paid. I don't know of too many people significantly tearing their meniscus just standing up.

He hurt it standing up from a chair at the Niners facility, heard a pop

You guys realize it was guaranteed that somebody was going to get injured right? This is football, lol
So he got hurt standing up at his locker. Never heard no s**t like this before.

He likely hurt it doing something non-football on his own time, but thinking that could nullify his contract guarantees he came into the locker room and said he hurt it in the locker room to get his salary guaranteed.

David Lombardi@LombardiHimself
49ers GM John Lynch says Jeff Wilson felt a pop in his knee as he got up from a chair in the locker room last Thursday. That's when he tore his meniscus — at the facility last week. Wilson had surgery the next day, Friday 5/21

Lol. I am pretty sure he was hurt prior to that. But $2M is a big "get in the facilities" motivator.

Yes, he likely hurt it elsewhere

4-6 months ?? Damn doubt he makes the squad now . Wilson was a T.D. Machine!! 7tds on 4 touches

Make the roster? He's starting the season on PUP.

Yeah, with our history of injuries at RB, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets playing time later this year.

He will be available later in the season if other backs go down
I love how people assume Wilson somehow injured himself before OTAs, and came in, then now he needs surgery, so he doesn't lose his $2.05M, man some fans are complete aholes.

He probably won't be back until November at the earliest - so he should be ready to go for the stretch run.

I mean that isn't impossible. People in general are aholes and most of the time it's the rich and famous entitled ones who are the biggest aholes of all. It's harder to believe the story of tearing that s**t standing up from a chair, cmon man lol
Yeah, because people tear their knees up all the time for no reason.
