We are one the few teams that have a number of players, coaches and even an owner that could be considered for a Mt. Rushmore. Here is my 49er Mt, Rushmore Walsh Montana Rice Lott What do you guys think?

It's going to take a monumental effort to dethrone any of Montana, Rice, Lott, or Young. Otherwise this is an easy Mt. Rushmore that won't change for a long time.

Pretty much. Only DeBartolo and Walsh can stand with this group IMO.

Mount Rushmore is for US Presidents.

Mount Goldrush is for 49ers! There are only 4 men on Mount Rushmore, but on Mount Goldrush, there are 6. Debartalo, Walsh, Montana, Rice, Lott, (Steve) Young!

You cannot look at our history of Superbowls without those 6!

Keep in mind that the Niners already had 2 SB wins before Rice got there. For that reason I agree with Joecool.

Eddie had the ability to admit when he made a mistake and then go out and correct it. Like he did when he screwed up by hiring Joe Thomas and then went out and hired Policy and Walsh.

What can you say about Walsh. One of the most innovative offensive minds ever.

Lott was one of Walsh's early draft picks and the cornerstone of a defense that ravaged the league for years. They wouldn't have won that 1st SB without Lott.

Montana. Enough said.
